Why would they? I think almost every pvp player bought the new expansion… so clear to bungie that even with the littlest of investment they get max revenue so why spend more def time on it? There is no reason

Destiny's overall player count has been consistently dropping for a while now, and it coincidentally started right after the pvp team got moved to marathon.

Gotta wait till first week of trials to see if there are many pvp player who bought the dlc. Since new dlc is required to play Trials

Edited by amazing_month041: 6/13/2025 9:39:18 AMExternal Sights emblem is one of the pre-order bonus and only 37.1% owns it but this percentage doesn't show that how many players pre-ordered it then claiming the pre-order bonuses then canceling it so in reality the real numbers are lower

Trials usually has around 300k player playing at the start of the dlc, then drop to avg 100k - 200k, sometimes 250k+ if it's a good map or loot week. This has been so since lightfall and episode echoes. For the last 2 season, player count been dropping non stop even with the Trials rework. So if Trials next dlc does not have that many players :D it's safe to say pvp player had already left the game
