I'm gonna keep it real, I've barely touched this game in months. With that said, the state of crucible is horrible, and it's not anything to do with balance. We used to get new maps with every expansion drop plus complete vendor armor/weapon overhauls. That on top of more than 2 trials weapons, full armor, an emblem, etc.
Now we get one NEW weapon there if even that, and one reprised.
Don't we have like 12 vaulted maps? Literally just bring those back if you're gonna not give any significant content there. The 3 you gave by the way were all trash

1 ReplyI am only logging in a couple of times a week now after tuesday and friday reset to do a few chores, I normally run a few crucible matches simply because I'm logged in but pretty much shred any loot I get. I am not so bothered about maps but would not complain if they added/unvaulted some more, it is the loot that annoys me. Same old crucible weapons all season, so boring. Same with the vendors like banshee and xur, there is a ton of loot in this game that rarely drops so why not rotate it all through crucible, strikes, gambit, banshee and xur? It will be interesting to see what happens next season, I am not buying EoF so will be ruled out of trials, if the gear for the rest of the activities remains as stagnant as its been for years, there will be no reason for me to play.

Agreed. 1) More maps. 2) Better anti-cheat. 3) More frequent balance patches. 4) Better / new loot. At least, that is my list.

Seriously they need to just unvault all PvP maps for the sake of variety

The neglect of pvp started years ago with the introduction of stasis and overpowered abilities, and the move away from skill requirements to get kill to just ‘showing up’ with a good pve build and a spray and pray gun…some maps are also just bad Guess we shouldn’t expect much…its a pve game with a pvp side to mess around in…

5 RepliesI would prefer if they narrowed down the amount of maps in rotation, picked the good ones and cleaned them up. The maps are way too cluttered in their current states and unless you play ALOT you'll constantly be lost on maps you've only played once..like 2 months ago. The gameplay would be way better if we had a few core maps that everyone knew how to play properly - instead of this running and gunning BS we have now.

6 RepliesI play PvP very casually for gear I want or just to turn my brain off. I can’t figure out why Bungie thought it was a good idea to just stop supporting PvP with maps. They literally could have paid 1-2 devs just to make a map for each season and it would have built a ton of good will. And I say this as a person who thinks the hardcore PvP community have irrational expectations for the crucible… but this seems like an easy win.

1 ReplyEdited by Part Timer: 6/11/2025 9:56:26 AMMaps aren't even the problem. Every match I'm fighting cheaters. How is this acceptable? They take no flinch, they never miss, they can turn on a dime and snap on you. this -blam!- is just out of hand.

1 ReplyIt doenst help that half the maps are removed from the game. It would at least be more variety with all the others added in. I liked when not every map had to be basic 3 lane maps

Honestly, just doing a map vote playlist would be a huge win. They also put that dogshit map on trials this week.
