All these changes to power will hurt the Game in the long run and all the changes are good for armour and gear but this hamster wheel with power grinding come on bungie this is ridiculous people just complain about power creep this is what bungie does makes us even weaker than we were before Diablo has done this division 2 tried this
There's always been a power grind in destiny, and there will continue to always be one. Do you people just forget things once you hear something new? There is still going to be fireteam power, so everyone doesn't need to grind to max power so long as one person has been. If you're going to make the one argument of just removing power altogether, then let me ask this. Without a lower grind, then what's the point of adding new gear ever?
Edit: Damn. Imagine getting all of your replies removed.

You also do know that we can look at your profile and everything, right? It's so weird how the person with a single character that hasn't left the base power level and never plays the game but is still so invested in the game that they spend every waking moment on the forums wants to talk about wasting time.
Sounds like you’re the one stalking me stat checking my account lol Creeps like you are why people use burner accounts 😂
If you're so scared of people looking at public information and need to have multiple accounts for a game and it's forums then you truly are obsessed with the game. I hear those padded rooms are helpful for people like you who get so paranoid over that public information being seen. Also, the easily traceable fact of how you've now followed me to the 3rd or 4th post just to keep whining says it all. I'm still waiting for that ban you claimed I'd get for a non-bannable thing.

You’re creepy dude, the less stranger’s info accessible to you the better lol
You’re creepy dude, the less stranger’s info accessible to you the better lol
Now you're crying about someone looking at your public profile on a public forum? Damn how much does being a professional victim pay nowadays?
I would consider anyone who’s forced to interact with you a victim honestly. 😂
Yeah, sure. I guess as a professional victim following someone around and crying, you'd know.

Edited by Salty-47: 6/9/2025 1:47:48 AM
I don't know what happened here, but it's funny.
The OP replied something, and then a ninja came in and removed all of it before I could see what was fully said. Quick answer is that they didn't like what I said and most likely threw a tantrum. I'm also going to assume they got banned, seeing as how they haven't responded to anyone else since those replies got removed.

Why are you censoring damn lmao
its almost if the community forgets everything that brought good and cries about the changes they don't like that aren't even out yet. The community doesn't even remember the fact that at one point new lights have to grind a thousand power until FS hit with fireteam power.
It's definitely evident that some of them never even played during the much worse times for leveling. Like d1 year 1 and being permanently stuck 1 level off of max due to only the raid dropping max level gear and relying on luck.

That’s how long I stayed away due to the terrible grind. D2 felt like Christmas by comparison and still does. If anything it’s too easy to get things especially exotics. I remember before sunsetting struggling to finish the last word quest. I was on the last part but had trouble getting my aim right. I think these changes are great.

I quit before the first dlc, and since I had a disk copy at the time, I even went and traded it in. If my friends hadn't convinced me to get it again, and it hadn't been for the fact that I was able to get the game back for like $20 instead of the full $60. Getting exotics in d1, at least for the first year, was so much harder than the handout quests nowadays for all of them. I mean, needing to grind bounties just for a chance at an exotic bounty and then needing to complete its objective just to get some of them was so much worse to do than these current quests and missions. Don't even get me started on how much fun the thorn quest was with the losing progress for dying.

I don’t even think I even tried thorn. I uslally just grinded the he’ll out of nightfalls solo with icebreaker or ran strikes for strange coins and bought from xur. I don’t think I ever got a world drop exotic in d1. I remember when I got a world drop on the moon in shadow keep doing one of the vex seasonal public events and I was in shock 🤣. I don’t even remember what exotic it was either. All I knew was the cryptarch was about to screw me over because that’s how d1 was. Glad to see I was wrong there.

Yeah. Getting D1 thorn originally through the exotic bounty system was both annoying and rewarding. If I remember right, you had to do the phogoth strike, then get 500 hive kills. After that was getting kills in pvp. Had to look this part up, but it was getting 500 points in crucible with void damage. 1 kill would give 5 points, and a death would remove 2 points. After all that, you'd then have to spend a mote of light and then do a harder version of the phogoth strike. After all of those things, then you'd finally get thorn. Gets even worse when you realize how you have to have enough luck to have even just get the chance at an exotic bounty.

D1 was brutal, i quite after taken king and came back at shadow keep. I felt like going back to d1 after final shape. Whats hilarious is i did crotas end when it came out. I just got husk of the pit to drop.
