Very confusing game
I was trying to help my son run threw the failsafe echo story so he could get the choir of one and he got so confused as to what quest to run he eventually gave up.
He would complete a step and the game would then mark a quest step from the dreadnaught echo so he would go do that and because I've finished the failsafe echo story I don't know what part of any mission he is on I got to say it sucks to try and play with someone who is playing catch-up only because if you join their game and they have locations marked on the map you don't see or know where they are it's just so stupid

So confusing. I played D1 for a year back in the day. Got tired of the gear grind and played other games. I decided to give it another shot recently and I have never been so frustrated and confused by a game. Literally had to google and YouTube what expansions to download then the same for every 15 minutes pratically through the campaign it was far from fun. Trying to blow through campaign with crap weapons and gear dismantling good stuff cuz I didn’t know better then getting wrecked by champions because my loadout is complete sheet. I absolutely would have quit the game. I did the whole lightfall campaign like this by myself without a load out on just normal but Emperor Calus literally was one shotting me in 2nd phase. I was already furious from normal campaign and this sent me to an extreme in frustration!.. after much profanity and irritation I vented to my friend and wow Final shape was much better for me after a getting a semi proper loadout. And honestly I still waste to much time trying to figure out what the hell to do on this frickin game. It’s neat to see the progression of the game but holy hell there is literally no direction for new players to follow. I just wanna kill -blam!- not lookup YouTube videos to find out what what light orb or dark orb I need to get first and where to put it ffs.

That is the biggest issue is the onboarding experience I would rather have less content for a season so that the devs have some time making the new player experience better so the game has a better chance at success down the road

A few of my friends and clan mates came back to the game after a long break. They were very confused about what do next on some of the Echoes quest. I had to have them stream to discord just so i could see and help them out.

Once the new expansion drop the exotic mission should go into to rotator.
