Yep, here we are. It wasn't an easy hit, but Rasputin did get finished off back in the day. Marathon cancelled. Massive layoffs coming. Sony completely takes over before 2027. They should have treated their valuable customers a whole lot better.

Everything eventually dies my guy. Cheering it on from the sidelines isn’t the way. Whats hysterical is the amount of hyperbole that’s presented involving anything Bungie. I have a bridge for sale for those who think corporations aren’t greedy or that they care about people or their consumers. It’s absurd, juvenile and beyond ridiculous.

  • They are thieves that have stolen from millions of their customers. Now they are also admitted art thieves. It's not hyperbole and Bungie brought it all on themselves. Cheering on justice for thieves is a normal response. Defending thieves is beyond absurd & ridiculous.

  • Nobody supports the employee who ripped off art and passed it off as their own work. Why do you hang on their forums if you quit playing? Delete your characters and vault and move on. It’s a video game not a life choice bro.

  •
They are thieves that have stolen from millions of their customers.
What did bungie steal from their customers, or is this just one of those baseless claims where you can't provide any form of proof?
Now they are also admitted art thieves.
Now? You do know that this isn't the first time it's happened, and it happened at least 2 times before the last dlc you bought.
It's not hyperbole and Bungie brought it all on themselves. Cheering on justice for thieves is a normal response. Defending thieves is beyond absurd & ridiculous.
No one is defending the fact that an employee that isn't even with the company anymore stole from someone else. But trying to act the way you are while you've clearly actively supported them for a good while now but then use the double standard of now that they did something wrong for a game you don't like, it's now issue. Why wasn't it an issue the other 3 times, or was that different because you were actively supporting them during that time?

He has 3 characters at 1900. He doesn’t play but hangs on the Bungie forums.. Yet another unhinged person who can’t completely let go.

  • Yeah. It's hard to kick that addiction to a video game that they let live rent-free in their head. I'll never understand it. I see no point of staying to interact on forums for a game I don't play or quit playing. Even the game I play and have played the most, I don't even use their forums.

  • I’ll never understand how a grown man can be perpetually upset over a video game. It’s absurd and anyone defending it is equally unbalanced. The meltdowns are entertaining though.

  • The meltdowns definitely are enjoyable. Especially the "I quit" post ones. Bringing up how they either made the same post a week ago or how it's like the 10th time they've quit just to be back within a few days. Then, watching them get angry or make excuses as to why they are back. Best one I've heard recently was the claim that after they made their quit post that they only quit to play halo for a week. And then they claimed to be quitting again once edge of fate launches. Can probably guess which person that was that did and said that.

They should have treated their valuable customers a whole lot better.
Marathon hasn't been canceled. The only thing making that claim is click bait videos. The only thing regarding Marathon that was canceled was Sony's planned marketing for it, which they can't do until they remove all the stolen artwork and make sure there isn't any more. Also, not sure where you got the massive layoffs coming and that Sony would be taking full control within 2 years. There isn't a single source outside of unreliable ones or just purely speculation that has no evidence to support it. Also, imagine not even playing the main game that bungie makes since last year but still being so addicted to the game or the company that you never truly quit or leave it ever.

  • If Marathon is ever released with any hope for success, it will have a new name, it will be a Sony product, It will look like a very different game, and will not be limited to being an extraction shooter - if it has any extraction elements at all. The other possibility it is released ASAP with no marketing and with the expectation of failure. Giving Sony all the cover they need to dispense of all the Bungie higher ups for cause and without their golden parachutes. Imagine being a mindless follower that will swallow whatever slop is thrown their way while saying "please sir, can I have some more."
If Marathon is ever released with any hope for success, it will have a new name,
No, it won't, and also, that would mean it's not marathon.
it will be a Sony product,
Ah yes. Because they have a good track record with live service games currently.
It will look like a very different game, and will not be limited to being an extraction shooter - if it has any extraction elements at all.
So, again, not marathon then. All you did is describe how you just want a different game.
The other possibility it is released ASAP with no marketing and with the expectation of failure. Giving Sony all the cover they need to dispense of all the Bungie higher ups for cause and without their golden parachutes.
So just the whole argument of people wanting Sony to take full control over bungie just to do what they've done consistently lately and put out horrible live service games or content, get a ton of backlash for it and then either backtrack or just shut the whole game down. Great plan.
Imagine being a mindless follower that will swallow whatever slop is thrown their way while saying "please sir, can I have some more."
So, like a vast majority of the Destiny community that throw money at them just to never actually play or constantly complain about what they play. This may be hard for you to understand, but if you go back and read what was said again, you'll notice how I never once said I was even buying the game. Also, wouldn't the mindless follower be the person who doesn't even play any bungie game currently but is still here constantly whining about everything they do? You know, like you.

It’s the angry little idgets hard at work to cry foul over video games. The sneakers and clothes they wear are made by corporations that use sweat shops that exploit human beings. The smartphones, laptops, desk tops and tablets they use are made by corporations that once again use sweat shops and or exploit human beings and destroy the environment for the resources to make them. The cars they drive are fueled by corporations ravaging the environment on multiple fronts. I could go on and on. All corporations are greedy. But hey they develop a conscious with their gaming. Good lord 🙄

  • The only thing we know... Sony Corporate is getting directly involved now. In addition, they are doing a full audit of Bungie's assets. I'm optimistic. The malfeasance is obvious. Maybe this was in motion for a while too. Within 2 weeks we'll know. Good or bad.

  •
The only thing we know... Sony Corporate is getting directly involved now. In addition, they are doing a full audit of Bungie's assets.
Which those are both good things to do. Honestly, bungie should have done the audit themselves back when D2 had their first plagiarism thing.
I'm optimistic. The malfeasance is obvious. Maybe this was in motion for a while too. Within 2 weeks we'll know. Good or bad.
Yeah. I mean, I never committed buying marathon, seeing as how I was waiting for an open beta or for after the game came out to see how it was fully. I would definitely prefer that the outcome is good and that the game itself ends up being good. Another source of revenue for them is definitely far from a bad thing so long as it is still causing funding for more games or content in the future.
