Destiny 2 should’ve been a PvE experience only. That way they could’ve avoided nerfing anything for the sake of PvP (which is complete bs anyway)
If people want to play PvP that’s fine. Make it a standalone mode like Warzone on Call of Duty titles.
Furthermore, remove Gambit and replace it as an extraction shooter so you don’t have to steal resources from ANTIREAL or other talented artists. Marathon was NOT worth the price Bungie paid to produce it, and it won’t be worth the price when the settlement is said and done. But Bungie does Bungie things…

Destiny would not have survived without PvP. This is coming from a PvE player. As it stands, PvP is the only truly unique and consistently different game within Destiny, as each round is different from the last. Without that variability, Destiny would not have survived the mega droughts that suffused it in its early years. And removing PvP will remove a good section of the population from Destiny. Bungie already puts the bare minimum of effort into PvP. Leave it be.

You know what’s funny? I was a PvP player for Halo 2 and I hated the PvE experience in Halo except in Legendary mode. In Destiny, that flipped entirely because the PvE experience was so much better with build crafting and other mechanics. PvP in Destiny is good, not great, but PvE is where it shines. I can’t say that the endgame PvE modes are very enjoyable as it severely limits build loadouts and gameplay style. Rushdown mode was great and it should’ve never been seasonal only.

I disagree with Endgame limiting builds. While it does filter out a good vs bad build, bad builds shouldn’t really be considered “builds” when they are reliant on the low add density and low add strength of on level content, where the build isn’t pushed back against. As for variety, it is of my opinion that most everything (Most) can be used in legend (-15 power) content, albeit with some level of success. Yes, there are going to be things that are just flat better, but that doesn’t change the fact that at the end of the day, that harder to use item is still viable within its own niche. There also needs to be taken into account design philosophy. Is an item designed with PvP or PvE in mind. You should use them in their respective roles, because of course they won’t be viable in the other. And this doesn’t even take into consideration that certain builds are actively bottlenecked by the weakness or low enemy count within specific portions of the game. Just this past week, I have found myself running out of kills within GMs, severely limiting the functionality of my build as there were not enough adds to go about powering it. This includes the fact that I was running with teammates, which in turn meant we were fighting over kills. All in all, Endgame content should be the filter, not the limiting factor.

it would've survived because destiny players are low iq crackheads that would throw their money at quite literally anything bungie releases a trailer for, even if it were just a steaming hot pile of doodoo.

I feel called out.

You leave my gambit alone it's one of the few modes I like especially with vanguard stuff being so slow and having no guns worth having...
-
The Slammer… Palindrome… Etc…
-
Have never used them...nightfall guns are overrated The only thing special is the adapts and that's a gimmick that Bungie is so fond of...having a .5 to whatever is so not worth wasting time over
-
The Palindrome is relatively unique, being one of the few primaries to role with Rolling Storm, albeit Rolling Storm should be a third Column Trait despite its utility. Honestly, that’s the roll you should wait for. A third column Rolling Storm Primary with damage perk to go along with it.
-
Interesting if I see one I'll give it a swing The odds are low though I can't remember the last time I did a nightfall
-
Oh, there aren’t any weapons dropping with Rolling Storm in the 3rd column, which is super disappointing when it comes to the Elegant Arsenal (Rite of the Nine) as like with the Brave Arsenal (Into the Light), Bungie has the opportunity to make utterly nutty weapon rolls and bring some genuinely exciting and useful weapons into the mix. Elegant Arsenal Weapons do not compare to Brave Arsenal Weapons, and that’s super disappointing.
