Damage reduction
its starting to get to a point where damage reduction feels like it does nothing. i have 100 resil and chest mods for the content and still get deleted in high end content that forces you in the open for most parts, can we please get a buff to DR it fells pointless to build into anymore

The difference between no resil or mods and max resil and max resistance mods is going from getting 1 shot to getting 2-3 shot in high level content. If you stop playing like you are gonna be invincible it isn't a problem.

The biggest problem is that Bungie requires us to stack over 9000 forms of damage reduction in the first place. In a game all about buildcrafting variety, we have so few options, because they've forced us to budget everything for damage reduction and healing. Resilience isn't an optional stat, and damage reduction and healing aren't optional buildcrafting components. The whole game just requires you to tank up as much as possible, instead of giving you the option to choose between a variety of playstyles.

This post is not based in reality.

We are extremely tanky right now as long as you know how to stack buffs it’s almost impossible to die on certain builds. Look into woven mail, restoration, over shields, orb printing, amplified.

Resilience is just part of it. 30% damage reduction is not very high. Especially considering we do not get to see how much damage is incoming. You have to constantly mix it with other sources. The best ones are Woven Mail (45%) Void Overshield (50%) Titan Barricade (80% splash damage resistance) All of these bonuses stack, although it's not as simple as adding them together. So long as you have any of the 2, you can easily be between 65-95% DR. It has been confirmed that at least some of this will be changing in Frontiers, but this is what it is now.

1 ReplyHow much better could it be? You can have devour, amplified, and woven mail/frost armour active at the same time pretty much constantly with most primatic builds
