I appreciate this post. Increasing the player count is a task thats a hard hill to climb bc it involes taking a few hits alone the way to their pride and to admit their flaws. Major Businesses just don't do that nowadays bc they know we will still line their pockets with with $$ for mediocre products. PvE or future games like Marathon would have fall in order to go back to the status quo and even though I hope changes can happen without that, its unlikely.

  • If we continue this path, I m concerned of the future of PvP and Destiny as a whole. Without taking in consideration external factors (like, the current Marathon situation), PvP is getting the bare minimum of attention, and the exact moment it dies (exaggerating, more probably to become the new Gambit), then everything will start to crumble by one single factor: loot. Assuming the death of PvP, all weapons with perk pools, or just perks, that are meant for PvP will become useless and irrelevant for the bast majority of players, and then: you will have to redesign every single stuff to work in PvE and PvP properly and not just PvP, which will take an excessive amount of work and resources that clearly Bungie has but don't care enough to use it for good but to buy cars like if it was any sort of Pokémon collection.
