Nah, you're just vastly incorrect. Video games are a form of recreation that many people find value spending their time on, and I believe as long as it doesn't take away from real life responsibilities they're really of no issue. (remember you said 'no one should respect the time we play video games', that includes ourselves btw) So back to the original post in which this all started, as it is relevant to this 'discussion'. The poster's sentiment which is that he will no longer be playing Destiny 2 as he feels it doesn't "value" his time. Where is the problem with that sentiment? I thought this was a universally accepted concept, that if the enjoyment you get out of something is less than the time and effort put into it then it's not worth it... Oh, well Now to your input, "no one should respect the time we play video games because video games are meaningless" (I know not word for word but I didn't feel to be as crass as you) I believe I already tackled why such a sentiment is false, but I don't think it's even a sentiment you actually have. Clearly you must have some perceived value in video games thus you play them. Perhaps you meant "of less value" in comparison to other activities one could participate in but even then that's a subjective viewpoint and you're trying to make an objective argument. But to address your thoughts as a whole in context to the situation. Bungo should most definitely value/respect the time a player dedicates to their game. Bungo needs to, yes, need to respect and value their players time they put into the game because if they don't then it will eventually catch up to them financially. For example, the player submitting this post. [spoiler]I'm not even going to say how Bungo should be morally obligated to respect/value players time because something tells me you wouldn't actually engage in that topic and will just ignore it as a point that doesn't carry any validity.
