Why do people rez so much in competitive? Mainly talking about clash, because being revived in king of the hill I can %100 get behind. Honestly what purpose does it give In clash? You get zero special, feed the enemy 99% of the time, and even if you die and wipe the team you're just going to spawn 5 feet from your team anyways! I could just be dumb, but I honestly don't understand why it's an option.

Brain partially on. See blinking dot to revive. Mmmm... button. Press button
-
The reason why most players rez is that REEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZ……
-
Oh my God someone else gets it, I thought I was crazy. If you res a teammate just for them to instantly get farmed you’re not only feeding the enemy points but also a bunch of super energy.
-
3 RepliesTo have your team mate spawn.close to you? Shock i kn ow , its crazy!
-
4 RepliesI assumed it gave you the point back for the kill, if not I'll not bother in future. Silly bungo
-
3 RepliesI wished I spawned by my team. For some reason, when I die, I spawn right by the opposing team while my teammates are on the other side of the map.
-
5 RepliesI came here out of boredom. Didn't even read the comments. Just left this comment and left. See ya.

To ruin your k/d 🤣

1 ReplyTitan helmet is s tier for revive
-
4 RepliesIt's so the enemy can use their last remaining Special shot on your teammate that can't fight back, letting you get some free damage in for the cleanup without threat of dying.
-
3 RepliesOvershield, body shield, and maintaining position. Definitely less exploitable in clash since you actually give the enemy score for rez spamming, but rez spamming is genuinely an obnoxiously strong strategy if your team already is holding a key position and are aware of that fact. You just deny the enemy from ever making any progress in terms of positioning and, all else equal, the team that holds the best position the longest will likely win. This is still important, even in Clash. There is such a thing as overdoing it in Clash, since, again, you give the enemy score, but it is much harder to overdo it than it is to underdo it. Players who spam it without thought are closer to the correct way to play than people who overthink it and/or never bother reviving.

exactly, it drives me mad.

Depends a bit on the situation, if it's a 1-1 gun fight then yes, it can become a 2-1 however most just revive in the hope someone else will fix their problems. They refuse to fire a bullet at the enemy and rather revive while getting shot at than fire back. In clash there is a certain niche yet sometimes I choose not to revive so a teammate will spawn with special unless a crate is nearby

1 ReplyMost do it for the overshield if they have an enemy close. But ya i hate getting wrecked after a revive
-
I do wish I could press a button to turn off my rez in PvP, if I’ve just died then I’m not gonna win the fight all of a sudden when I’ve been rinsed for 90% of my HP before I even have control of my character.
-
There is no point. Battlefield has this issue too, but its - better. People just revive because they panic. They don't think about anything beyond "I have to revive my teammate." They don't think about the situation, or who might be there. Everyone on the enemy team also knows to just sit there because its easy kills for them, so it really is pointless. At least in Battlefield the maps are so big, with so many people that you can get to it often enough with a bit of thought, but Destiny is basically all corners and tiny groups so that is a luxury we do not get. Its a very useless feature to this game specifically.

1 ReplyWinning fights with a stationary body shield and extra health is always available And the spawns are dogsh1t, so I would prefer my teammate not have to take a 1v2 or a 1v3 right after spawning Keeping the team together is more beneficial than one brick of special IMO
-
Part of it is probably trials, if you're not great resing a better player is almost always the best option, and often times your teamates will let you know it. Some ppl take that to every mode after even if it doesn't make sense.
-
1 ReplyBecause special has 5 seconds till it respawns, you're a safe rez and i got two people shooting at me. You've got a primary.
-
4 RepliesCus casuals just see the res and go Right for it like a moth to the flame. Monkey see monkey do
-
Give us an option to block being rez'd except by the timer. Or just remove it as an option.
-
Edited by ben: 5/15/2025 10:31:12 PMYeah you should honestly almost never be reviving in clash
-
I don’t Rez unless your safe and I got two on me I get restoration and an over shield same for zone. But most of the time I don’t Rez in clash because I want you to have special
