SRL > Heavy Metal
It’s baffling that we get this half baked game mode instead of bringing back SRL.
It must be the same people who decided to make an extraction shooter nobody asked for instead of Destiny 3.

This was a huge missed opportunity especially with the pew pew sparrow as a reward. Team SRL with weapon sparrows would have been so amazeballs.

I haven’t been able to get on to play Heavy Metal but SRL should just be a part of this game like crucible, strikes or gambit. It was a great event and awesome replay ability and if nothing else, was just a different game mode you could play if you wanted to hang out with friends and just mess around.

SRL was SOOOOOO fun to me. Imagine new sparrows for it too, that you can unlock, that go at 200 speed. They way, we have vehicles for everything. The typical sparrow used for balance, the combat sparrow for…well…combat, the skimmers for tricks and getting higher up, and then the racers (working title) for going super fast.

YES...they definitely need to put SRL back in the game

SRL with the new weaponised Sparrow type would be pretty fun. Like a sort of Mario cart mode, you can race and activate buffs for weapons or defensive abilities.

1 ReplyI am glad that they have created Heavy Metal though, I see mixed opinions but I love it. I hope it does well enough that they bother to make other fun modes like SRL. Brings a little soul to the game.

A game mode called Heavy Metal should have been more than just mechs vs jank tanks, Janks if you will, on a single map. They also shouldn't play nearly identically outside of Brigs not getting stuck on terrain and having a single shot homing rocket. This should have been 6v6 on a massive map specially designed for it. Like it's alright, but the novelty wore off awhile ago. Now I just want the stupid gun sparrow so I can be done with it.

SRL was VASTLY superior in all ways, heck even the horns we got are better then the HM sparrow. Plus we had multiple maps, fans a killer forklift (if you know your know!), power boosters, tricks and it was all FUN!!! HM? Well I finally got my sparrow and the only reason I came back to play more then the first couple of matches last week was I had some issues to deal with and being a person that has a lot of physical pain in life I know the trick of replacing one pain with another, vastly superior then any med/drug! So what does that say about HM!?!?!?

And....you are correct sir! I loved the racing...when the game is getting stale, can still race, paired with different racers all the time, from all over the world! Ugh...was awesome And the answer to the same people making the decision not to put SRL back out, I believe you mean the same ones that love the control of not giving players what they want? Lol

Bungie should focus on what they know best. Like no other games has been able to replicate the bungie feeling, you know what I'm talking about, where most of thier dev time is focused on and what everyone thinks, inside and outside of the gaming community. That's right, their Eververse microtransactions store. Bungie will forever under deliver with the help of thier new CEO but will over deliver for Tess every chance they get. Oh ......and I guess they also make a first person shooter inside thier storefront somewhere in the files of D2

Gamers, I loved SRL more than the average player, too, but it's coming up on 10 years since SRL. I don't think it's coming back.
