The middle symbol looks like this in Prophecy dungeon and Dares of Eternity, as well as on the CODA gear. Edited by BetweenMyself: 5/10/2025 6:44:29 PMIf you’re referring to the precise point at which the longer diagonal line makes contact with the vertical line (connecting at the rim of the circle versus just shy of it) I would note two things: • As you state, the appearance of the diagonal line connecting to the vertical just shy of the rim of the circle well predates the Edge of Fate promotional materials as it is visible in the models for the CODA Helmets and original Weapon skins obtained from the Prophecy Dungeon. • Based on the nature of the Artstation link being tied to an independent contracted artist rather than being run by Bungie itself, coupled with the lack of any trademark/copyright notices on the image, I’m not certain this image showing the diagonal connecting to the vertical at the circle’s rim is necessarily a final product used either in-game or featured in promotional materials; rather I suspect it may be a work-in-progress/mock-up/proof-of-concept used in the initial design of the symbols that was then tweaked prior to being used in any official capacity. Not to force any additional work on you, but if you have other points of reference that are more clearly finished/official art released by Bungie themselves (as opposed to contracted artists displaying their portfolios) that show this difference, I would like to see them. If you run the Prophecy dungeon you see the way the middle The Nine symbol was (skip to 44:14) or if you run Dares of Eternity (in the first room on the floor of the big structure in the middle of the room). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwH0ftSbWA8 Now look at that same symbol in The Edge of Fate reveal livestream, that bottom left corner of the triangle used to meet as a point with the circle, now the left line extends down to meet the circle, the horizontal-ish line no longer meets the circle. https://youtu.be/zCniKK4-nCg?si=IlkN071_en0x0H6B Now let us look at the CODA gear, particularly the helmets. Look at The Nine symbols. For the Hunter helm, the first symbol in highlighted teal, on the Titan helm, the 2nd symbol is teal, and for the Warlock the 3rd symbol is teal. On top of that, the lore text for the Hunter helm has L I G H T, the Titan helm lore text has D A R K and the Warlock helm lore text has B E T W E E N. I am probably reading too much into it all, but does this mean that 1st of The Nine symbols represents L I G H T, the 2nd symbol represents D A R K and the 3nd symbol represents B E T W E E N. So if that middle symbol is D A R K, then the change in the symbol may be related to how the D A R K has changed in game...with the Witness dead and this new D A R K god trying to take over. Dark is Dark, so the change in the symbol is slight, it's just a new leader... Again, probably reading too much into it, but I like wearing a tinfoil hat.
