What difficulty were you doing it on? Might explain it or your inventory is full and it was sent to post, the game may just not like you if neither of those are applicable.

Nope, it's broken. Just ran 1 & got 1 core, I got more than that from a base run of sunless cell. It also isn't setup to give a pinnacle, or count towards the 9 weekly strikes for 3 exotics & linked triumphs aren't completing, nor is it giving platinum despite killing everything.

It is bungie we’re talking about here, they can never have a good launch of an activity, in this case a strike.
