Should I get The Final Shape?
Hii, I have a few questions about The Final Shape DLC, and would love to get concrete answers to them.
I want to get access to Trials of Osiris without needing to buy anything again in the future just to re-gain it, will this DLC be the last to gatekeep accessing this mode?
If I'll get this DLC with the Annual Pass, will I have enough time to farm out episodic activities before they'll be gone from the game?
By farm out I mean - level up ranks of the it's vendors to the max, collect their rewards, unlock armor that is exclusive to these activities for at least my main class, and get a few weapons with good rolls.
That's all I want to know about, if you know any important info that's worth mentioning, don't hesitate to share it, thank you in advance!

2 RepliesIts not great. Lots of hype, shills and fanboys will tell you its awesome but the content was meh, the story was meh. Not as bad as Lightfall but still not great. I barely play any of it anymore. Finding little reason to log in at all.

In tl; dr form no you won't have time, you're kinda late here buddy.. Maybe if you just rush through content you might.. But maxing out each Echoes vendor and stuff? Nah you wouldn't have enough time. But just for the story and raid alone, worth it

If you feel justified getting it, that's good enough. The final shape is good if you want to feel like you're breaking into a laboratory while using its experimental equipment. Otherwise you'll have to find your own fun. Trials is alright, but is quite good now, especially if you just want to lean in the endgame fashion. Seasonal content unfortunately doesn't have any value since they'll be added to the loot pool later, but if you vibe with seasonal theme & it's cosmetics, then sure.

100% yes. Possibly the best campaign in the entire franchise (I preferred witch queen but at least top 3) and a great end game destination.

It’s worth it for the prismatic class and exotic class items, the campaign is ok, the pale hearth is meh.

Final Shape is one or the best Destiny expansions. The Episodes that followed are terrible though.

No, play the f2p. Armor is getting sunset with the next dlc and the time it’ll take to get into competitive shape for trials won’t leave you with much time to actually play it. Use the f2p to build up your weapons and character then buy Apollo when it comes out, you’ll be in a good position to jump into trials then.

Despite what people will tell you, the final shape campaign was barely above mid. Horrible conclusion to the light and dark saga for Destiny. But if you want to play trials you might as well get it. Wouldn’t waste the money on the annual pass though. The first two episodes are terrible. And the loot from them besides maybe 2 weapons is also terrible.

With regards to Trials, you'll almost definitely be needing the next expansion to keep playing it. You'll need Final Shape to get in now. As for the Seasonal content, there's definitely enough time to grind out everything, but that largely depends on how much time you're willing to put into it. There's a lot that you need to get done and it's going to require a big time commitment on your end. If you're fine with that, by all means go for it.

1 ReplyYou should definitely get Final Shape, it's outstanding. With annual pass you'll get the three newest (still active) Episodes (seasons) and that's a boatload of content. We don't know if those activities are going away when the next Expansion drops in "Summer 2025", and the official teaser announcement for that drops in about 3 weeks. That'll get you several months of PVE activities, Exotics/unique missions, a ton of other stuff, alongside unrestricted Trials access. Experienced guess: expect another purchase in August or September. Let me know if there's anything else I can try to answer!

2 RepliesBuying Final Shape will only get you access to trials until the next expansion comes out, then that new expansion will be required to play trials. You'll have access to all three episodes if you buy the annual pass, but you'll have to play ALOT to unlock everything in them before they're removed from the game when the next expansion releases.
