I like this idea but to answer your question about who'd spend money on these items I'd say, probably plenty of people. Remember, there are players claiming they'd pay upwards of $20 for a stupid name change or more vault space.

If I’m only playing what I enjoy, yeah it is smart. All fun, no sweat. I played all the campaigns and seasonal stories I bought, so I didn’t waste my money.
