I played a couple hours of Trials trying not to use it, and just got tired of being at such a disadvantage. I don't want to play RDM's, but I'm not good enough to outplay that meta.

Soo true ,I got bored of rdm and try other exotic only to get destroyed by rdm user with new sidearm ,let's be honest here I am hunter main but these things need little bit nerf
