Ima play devils advocate here, since I use them mostly for pve and enjoy them What else does hunter have for pvp, since mostly everything else has been nerfed knucklehead, nerfed, wormhusk crown, nerfed, YAS, nerfed which I will admit were busted and now barely any use Everything that hunters had pvp related has been nerfed in the pass and rdm has been nerfed to and honestly as much as it is the only thing that can be nerfed is probably the amount of energy given on kill, since the hipfire thing is probably a breath of fresh air Since name on exotic that could ever rival the one exotic named stompees or Gemini jesters before rdms

  • Hey don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending anything said a good way to nerf it but alot of people believe I’m going to do a Titan and try and defend storms keep with the artifact that did too much damage

  • But while I will say it definitely needs something changed, mostly on how much ability charge it gives to half or a quarter of what it is But can’t say it’s “op” when some weapons won’t work with it as much, but it does kinda give me reason to use some weapons people might not use i.e tex mechanica stuff, since no one uses them or when they do don’t use the hipfire part

  • But I’m defending the hipfire part.. and that means defending a hunter thing which means I’m bias and a cry baby crutch But personally I hate using it in pvp, I love it in pve but pvp is just not my area and took it into pvp to see what the fuss was about… I won’t lie I felt… underwhelmed by how little it did for me I.e the guy who tried to comment that it gives an easy win when I had more success with lucky pants by a lot

  • Yeah, that’s why I struggled using it in pvp… clearly a “easy win” ticket Ima be real I had more successful luck with lucky pants and last word then an smg with hipfire grip and the mod, so I do not believe this is a “easy win card” from experience

  • Hello again peanut, anyway I won’t act like some of those builds needed to be nerfed anyway and if you saw I didn’t say that rdms shouldn’t be nerfed I even suggested a nerf saying the amount of energy for the dodge should be reduced in pvp, giving probably half or a quarter of the dodge back in pvp Giving them their normal buffs in pve but a weaker one on pvp Do I believe that some builds were nerfed harder then most, yes but I do believe some needed to happen due to being too strong for what they can do, well of radiance and bubble are good example of what was a decent nerf, since if you didn’t have any way to counter it, you are unable to do anything about it

  • I would love to see things be nerfed differently in PVE and PvP and have said this for years. I don’t play Hunter that often but I really like the ascension threaded spectre RDM build for PVE. My main issue with RDM is the hip fire buff especially with TLW.

  • Okay… I don’t know how to feel about the last word or dmt in this debate, cause in fairness that’s two buffs just working well together, both focused on hipfire But that can be said for a lot of guns, the legacy frames like the bxr or the redrix extoc which kinda had hipfire in mind and then there is the tex mechainca stuff which makes you hipfire for a buff So it’s a bit off saying “it’s a problem cause of synergy” when it has opened alot more options for hunter, allowing them to really try new weapons based on hipfire which is a bit of fresh air when it comes to just running around with stompies or Gemini which are kinda boring in retrospect move faster or disrupt enemy radar Vs Hey you wanna go ye hawing partner? I can understand the frustration, trust me but it’s more on the specific guns they use with them, example tried with the strand smg the adaptive frame one, with hipfire grip and sword logic with the hipfire mod and it felt lacklustre, while when I was using the last word with lucky pants I was hipfiring hunters though smoke

  • Not sure on the other weapons but TLW is utterly oppressive anyway, it doesn’t need any help at all! In terms of the dodge return I wouldn’t have that much of an issue with it were it not for the additional things Hunter gets when it dodges, invis, threaded spectre etc. again combining these is what makes it the issue. If thunderclap one banged without needing to be fully charged for example then skull fort would be a huge issue so the synergy sometimes is the issue.

  • Probably, but even then it’s not the only options hunters have with the last word, lucky pants exist too But the hunter dodge thing, I will admit maybe invisibility on dodge is strong but I can’t.. really blame them, they don’t have much in the way of ability’s that is not “random bull—— go” I will admit some of them as are not as strong anymore i.e thread spectre since that doesn’t do threadlings anymore and invisibility is probably the biggest but at the same time… I don’t know how to tackle the invisibility situation, I can’t blame void hunter since it invisibility the class So to me, I’m going to be okay with the hipfire stuff and if they want dmt or lw to be working with it to a less degree then I’m fine with it, but I feel like the dodge thing is “fine” if they reduced how much it gave you in pvp, since it’s by far the most fun I had in pve in a while

  • I am a Titan main but have been flawless on my hunter using invis more than I have been flawless on my Titan. On certain maps Invis is a cheat code for free wins if you know how to use it. I think if it is to stay the same hunters need to take more damage (25-50%) whilst in and for a few seconds after coming out of invis.

Better in mind, since I don’t believe a class should be punished especially if it’s the only thing it can do What could be a good nerf is making it something that instead of making it so you can’t see them on radar, they scramble it, imagine they go invisible and suddenly your radar starts to freak out in a direction they would have to be semi close to do this but it will give you a heads up on when a hunter is near and the more closer it is the more intense the scramble is Let’s say around where a and c are on the felwinter peak are so not a short distance but clearly a good one giving it some use but not making it so that it never had a chance
