I sit here with my bags full of all types of mats because I'm a Destiny 2 junkie. But it doesn't matter if I play 1 hour or 200 hours in a week, I just CANNOT get enough glimmer. Meanwhile I sit here dismantling Ascendant shards, Ascendant alloys, Exotic ciphers and any other mat that has a cap and isn't robbed off of me.
Please let us exchange any mats for glimmer. I beg of you, I'm so tired of having engrams I can't focus, weapons I can't enhance, while having too much mats in every other category.
Thanks <3

I'd love to be able to sell my 1,100 rally banners

Edited by Motorhead England: 4/12/2025 3:31:50 PMWe used to have the Speaker where you could exchange this for that, then that for something else, and juggle materials until you got the stuff you needed. Saying that, I'm always maxed out on glimmer, so I don't see an issue 💁♂️

I guess you never had to farm patrol on Venus.

The nether is suuuuuuuuper easy to get glimmer in. It’s like 7000 a chest or something. If you really hate the nether then the episode echoes activity is great. Every time you dunk motes it’s like 7k. Idk what to do after those are gone though 😂 so not really addressing the core issue but the symptoms at least.

Agreed; 1 ascendant shard should be able to be brokend own into like 100k glimmer

Edited by Dragokin: 4/11/2025 9:16:02 PMWe just need more things to spend mats on I break cyphers down every week and have 5 stacks of cores...shards, prisms and alloys all maxed...by the traveler let me buy harmonizers!

Given how steep some of the costs are, it makes sense that they should. They’ve complained about the full timers/ hardcore players having too much stocked up. This is an easy way to get them to spend the materials and the system is already in place for some exchanging for glimmer. They are just too lazy to add a few more.

I’m constantly maxed out at 500K passively just from knocking out normal exercises throughout the system. However material exchanges at Rahool will net you 10K for 10 dark fragments, phantasmal fragments, or 25 herealways pieces, with the latter being a bit slower. Dismantling the dozens of armor pieces and weapons dropped from engrams during routine activities net 1000 glimmer plus the occasional core or prism. Decoding an eververse engram gives 1000. Dismantling exotic ghosts gives 1500. Eido’s Large Tonic of Glimmering (not sure how much it rewards) works just by defeating combatants and completing activities. Looting chests: varies However, more exchange options would be nice for all of the raid banners, Hymn of Desecration (that’ll never get used or deleted), excess strand meditations, luminescent seeds, and etc.

Go on path of ambition, go to the nether, have glimmer gains from both the potions and the tablet. You'll run out of ways to spend it soon.

1 ReplyDo we really need glimmer?

2 RepliesEdited by ⓇⒺⒹ•ⓈⒽⒾⒻⓉ: 4/11/2025 9:46:47 AMThey should have a conversion from adcendant shards/alloys, prism, etc. Back to lesser materials like enhancement cores and glimmer. I have tooooo much of these so called high end stuff. I even delete some to reset my rank!!!! Yet i find myself missing the more normal resources mainly because you need so much of it.... But... Bungo is a game developer. Not an economic institute... so i guess we just ahve to live with it

Edited by hazyy-_-hoppz76: 4/11/2025 2:41:02 PMWe just need a 2025 Destiny 2 economy warehouse so we can SPEND glimmer!! I’m constantly sitting at 500k CONSTANTLY.

1 ReplyWe need some effective ways to spend glimmer, i'm always maxxed out

I've personally found the nether has wiped out any need to glimmer farm because it gives so much of it.

Equip any of the glimmer tonics and should earn plenty if you always have a tonic active.
