Why wasn't Willbreaker a exotic reward?
We are crafting the THE blade of Oryx over this season peice by peice and in the infinite realm of craftable exotics that wasn't one of em. Just kinda a missed opportunity imo

3 RepliesTo busy with an ugly pink cat!!! They could have made this episode(thingy) one of the best ever. But nope ugly pink cartoon cat grumble grumble grumble I was so hoping that once completely forged it, we'd have Will Breaker and it would become our artifact (in Destiny parlance) to become taken when yielding it. I think that could have been a whole new breed of sub-class blessing us with our Light/Dark sub-class plus one from the Deep combined!

I suspect we'll unlock it in "Rite of the Nine" content in a fee weeks via similar means to how we unlocked Superblack originally in "Into the Light" content? It's got the heresy episodic/seasonal logo on the taken shader, so should still be coming out. But yeah Willbreaker should have been an exotic sword. And taken armor ornaments??? Yeah, they had a ton they could've and should've slid into the game for extra hype sms player sentiment imo. And for that matter: WHY is Ossein Earthcarver the only vehicle with a Taken trail? Why not add that unique vehicle trail effect to oh say a taken skimmer???

3 RepliesNo Willbreaker exotic, No taken Shader, won't be able to keep the taken mods "which I think is pretty useful in PvE especially for bows" IDK what's going on but Bungie need to go back and look into the perk weighting data I'm starting seeing way more duplicate rolls then outliers I really think its not random like they say

1 ReplyI was thinking of an idea for what it would do as an exotic. Make it kinetic, getting kills charges it up to then do a heavy attack slam thst sends out a big taken energy wave

Spending all season learning the ins and outs of being taken and all the hive magic few seasons ago the set-up would have been perfect and story relevant plus it would be a real dark subclass that we have been actively fighting for years...definitely better than prismatic which just spawned out of the ground literally and implemented with a heavy hand

2 RepliesIt was mentioned that the blade was still missing a piece. Most likely the heart we used to forge Dark Drinker, Boltcaster, and Razelighter. Without it the blade remains a hollow shell like the Taken. Still hoping we can complete it. Without the echo we will need it.

Probably due to it being a relic like the VoG shield and all the other hive swords that can be picked up. Not everything needs to be a permanent weapon that can just be thrown on at any time.
