Bungie does not greenlight 3rd party apps on request. It is on us, the players, to review the ban and restricted app policies and make our own judgements. Rule of thumb, if you have to ask, dont. 2nd tip, if it is not worth risking your account over, dont.

Do you know what lossless scaling is?
-
yes... do you?
-
Of course, I have it and use it regularly just hesitant on D2 since its false flags in the past and still occurring are a bit questionable. I have yet to hear lossless flagged anything from anyone so I was hoping to hear from a DEV / player who uses it regularly rather than being told obvious factoids that a 2 sec google search can give you.

then you know that if it injects or alters d2 code it can lead to a ban. Hense, if you have to ask, probably best to avoid it. Devs do not green light specific apps on request, all of their info is on the Ban info page. The advice "factoids" that I provided are the best you are going to get, and your response asking if I knew what the app did was irrelevant. While I am familiar with the app I do not use it for the very reasons I mentioned. The minor improvements it can provide in limited cases are not worth risk of losing any of my accounts. D2 is not prone to false flags, what many call false flags are cases where the use of the application does not match their version of cheat definition, where Bungie does not specify if it is a cheat or not, only that the application performed an action that also is/can be used by cheat tools. Injecting code into visuals, can be used in this manner, which is why most overalys are prohibited. In any case where Destiny's a/c falsely flagged an account, the appeals process was able to reverse it, but again, it is not necessary for the app to be a cheat, so most are not overturned.

If you "knew" the app you would know "then you know that if it injects or alters d2 code " is irrelevant" as it does not inject nor alter any code within Destiny2.exe. "Devs do not green light specific apps on request, all of their info is on the Ban info page." Yeah, They give SO much info you know? They DEF have never false banned anyone at all. Nope, Not once, Not ever! "Devs do not green light specific apps on request" One reading the forums can and should interact with questions but they dont, pete fired all those ones to make room for his extra cars. I get it. "D2 is not prone to false flags," How about the OBS situation, Or perhaps the Geforce situation ? Or the other many various apps that overlay / utilities ? Yeah, Didnt think so. " While I am familiar with the app " See line 1. "Injecting code into visuals, can be used in this manner, which is why most overalys are prohibited." Yeah, I know how programming works. Its ok bud. "In any case where Destiny's a/c falsely flagged an account, the appeals process was able to reverse it" You would have better luck getting a brickwall to undo itself and move. Any REAL human want to comment and or tell me their experiences with loseless I would love it. As for you, you can stop commenting as I wont be reading anything else you regurgitate on this topic. You clearly dont know what youre talking about.
They DEF have never false banned anyone at all. Nope, Not once, Not ever!
when they have done so, they fix it.
ne reading the forums can and should interact with questions but they dont, pete fired all those ones to make room for his extra cars. I get it.
They interact, just are not going to give a go ahead on an app they dont make, nor are they going to test every app that some rando comes and wants to be told its ok.
You would have better luck getting a brickwall to undo itself and move.
Seen it done, when they make a mistake, if it is due to a difference of opinion as in YOU dont think it should be a ban, well, their game their rules. Suck it up buttercup. The choice is yours.. you want to risk your account for minimal at best gains, go for it. Don't expect others to do it for you.

Okay last reply to you; "when they have done so, they fix it." : For the most part, sure. "They interact, just are not going to give a go ahead on an app they dont make, nor are they going to test every app that some rando comes and wants to be told its ok.": It is a utility app that doesn't just offer "minimal gains" It has DLSS, Frame generation, Scaling (This game does super uiltrawide well) and various other features that most every modern game has built in. Calling me a "random" is ironic in this context as their entire community from console to PC are made up OF randoms. Meaning that if 20k people are playing, 5k might want to use or have the app to use and want clarification on said app since their track record is questionable at best. "Seen it done, when they make a mistake, if it is due to a difference of opinion as in YOU dont think it should be a ban, well, their game their rules." This is simply put a flaw in logic. If they up and said "MNK is now a bannable offense" you think the pc community is just going to say "Welp, its their game it is what it is" ? No. Dont try and play games with me, Youre far too silly to do so. "Awww, dont like the answers? Suck it up buttercup. The choice is yours.. you want to risk your account for minimal at best gains, go for it. Don't expect others to do it for you.": I just dont see in value in your basic responses , especially when youre all fired up over some question on the forum asking either devs or users to come forward with their answer / experience. You are a waste of thought at this point, Any more comments no matter how rage bait'y they are will be ignored. CYA.

Now imagine 20k people asking if this or that app was okay. If you think the juice is worth the squeeze, run it, if not, dont. it really is that simple.
