You get to play new episodes of course, you also get ascendant shards, which are quite a pain to farm otherwise (hour long master nightfall, or GM), some exclusive items, it's not bad man, don't be so dissatisfied, appreciate the blessings in your life, you are playing a game, think how fortunate you are, don't dwell on the negative.
I'm a free player btw, and I don't get to have any of those things haha, next time it goes on sale I may get it, that new sparrow is not too bad.

If you want shards, do regular NFs and put on a prism mod on your ghost. You’ll get more resources in the same amount of time without the slog of master or gm. And if someone has to pay and the product isn’t worth it, no harm is pointing it out. I find it odd how random people act like it’s the OPs fault for pointing out the lack of incentive to buy a product.

Thanks for the tip, I do have the prism mod currently in place. I didn't intend to make OP come out at fault, as I mentioned, I am a free player myself, I did not see, or feel motivated, to get the season pass, I only tried to offer a different view to the equation, I also failed to mention, that I see their point, and agree mostly, however the main purpose of why anyone would get the season pass, is to participate, and play in the season episodes, which goes without saying, on the other hand, Destiny 2, and the people running it, do offer a product that is not free from negatives, which is their fault, I see it, and feel it, and others undoubtedly will too, but nothing can be done about that, it's not like there is an alternative, or that they will stop doing what they are doing, which I, and others do not like. In my case, I refrained from buying, even though I wanted to, and have made purchases in Destiny 1 previously.

I getcha. I agree too, there isn’t much we can do besides not buy cause when the revenue drops they’ll change just to keep the money flowing.
