Why are you mentioning crafting as though you would be able to craft shiny and adept shiny variants? They'd be standard versions which you probably keep dismantling.

I don't care about the shiny itself. I have gotten hundreds of rolls with this smg. TWO have had subsistence/sword logic. With trash for the barrel/mag/masterwork. Shinies simply have more chances to get the perks I want. Crafting guarantees it. I can't craft the gun because of the people whining about good quality of life and respecting player time. I'm back to grinding an activity forever (which is why crafting is gone I am aware).

Edited by Ferus Lux: 4/8/2025 1:39:09 AMNope. You're still at the mercy of barrels, mags, and masterwork RNG since you care so much about what amounts to placebo stats in PvE. You literally will not notice the stat differences in the SMG because of its origin trait that juices most of the important stats for just shooting enemies with it. Enslaving yourself to grinding for perfection is ridiculous. There is no PvE content in the game where barrel and mag will matter dude. Don't waste your time chasing perfection because the meta is always changing.

I have had many guns drop with great barrel/mags that didn't have the 1 or 2 perks in the final 2 columns. If it was shiny then those columns would have 3 chances each column so yes it would help. I don't care that you don't mind what barrel/mag is on the gun. I do. Since whiners removed crafting and shinies are supposed to be the compromise, I EXPECT the system to work.
-
Shinies are not the compromise because crafting is full agency and shinies are intended to be rare. The compromise was increased loot sources and enhancement on recent weapons.
-
That's a pretty crappy trade for respecting player time. Either way in episode 1 of this season id get a shiny maybe every 20-25 ish drops it felt like. Now they never drop, like ever. So something is clearly broken
-
The thing about deliberate high rarity is that you may never get it. Like shiny pokemon.
-
I can just throw a pokemon in a daycare with a ditto and start farming eggs without too much effort other than walking around, not the same amount of effort compared to destiny to get a "rare drop"
-
BS. The chances are 1 in 4080 and in older games, it was 1 in 8000. And as for effort, if you don't enjoy the game and you have to use that word you should probably do something else with your free time. I didn't bother with shinies in all the pokemon games I played because even if you did encounter one, it won't have the best stat modifiers. Similarly, the chances of getting a strong shiny roll are low and not worth getting worked over. If they drop, cool. If not, life goes on. They aren't even game changing.
-
Right, except they said they upped the drop rates on twitter and now since then they arent dropping. Shinies arent special enough to be that rare. Adept shinies are supposed to be the "end game" of rarity and I get adepts just fine.
-
They're also not special enough to obsess over. And nah. They are dropping. I've gotten over 20 adept weapons already and 2 adept shinies since the update.
-
again, i dont care about the shiny itself. I want better chances on my rolls. I DO care about the barrel/mag and I can say that they are NOT dropping from the Court of Swords with any frequency, adepts yes. Shinies no.
