Bungie stop overcomplicating things (court of blades)

All we wanted was court of oryx back. [b]And Court of Blades is so needlessly "complicated" that it is guaranteed to soft lock.[/b] All you had to do was copy & paste D1 court of oryx with a decent twist.... Literally a copy & paste of the public event on the moon/ titan/ Savathuns throne world on endless mode would've sufficed. Having 2 boss rush modes release on top of each other was a horrible move considering guardian games was a lot better than this Court of Blades (Free vs an Activity we paid for) Endless stream of curse thralls + seasonal challenges that require melee weapons is a surefire way to get me to love the game again. Also "coil-level loot"?? This comes nowhere near close. Another undelivered promise yet again Edit: To clarify....because i forgot to. I meant Mechanically complicated..... as in.....The activity is too fragile to keep up with what you're doing or able to do (ie; burn the bosses down as fast as possible) that more often than not the activity itself breaks. I got soft locked 5 times last night. Lame activity, when it could've been done so much simpler. Edit #2: Some of y'all don't do Salvation's Edge enough to know what "Mechanic Bugging out" means. So here's a list of bugs in that raid because it is one of the more mechanically advanced raid so far & by far the most mechanically fragile (next to Garden of Salvation) [spoiler]Encounter 2 & 3,: The box does not spawn once requirements have been met. (Soft-locking, or delayed may result in a death) Encounter 4: Verity, when "Witness notices your efforts appears" do not deposit or it will soft-lock = Knights & ogres won't spawn just grim. shifting between rooms, The cloth physics will bug out & black out your screen. During the Ghost Phase the Guardians will refresh & sometimes won't show the guardian that's highlighted......Sometimes all guardians will be invisible as well. If people are speedrunning it is possible to duplicate someone's ghost & be stuck with that ghost if you unknowingly picked their ghost up....this could result in a wipe during the ghost phase. Encounter 5, witness: Sometimes after breaking a hand & obtaining the glyphbreaker buff one of the witnesses hands will not appear....at...all....Resulting in a potential soft-lock or failure in challenge. Court of Blades: Kill the replicating boss too fast = soft-lock. Kill the boss & 2nd boss immediately spawns in & disappears resulting in soft-lock. Each boss has their own mechanic (sometimes) and bonus objective attached to the round. Too many things going on all at once in a short amount of time & the game doesn't know how to handle it. That my friends is called a Mechanically Fragile System that is easy to break/ bug out.[/spoiler]

  • It's not guaranteed to soft lock and the activity is only complicated if your teammates refuse to do anything other than barricade camp in miasma sludge or shoot at immune shields.

            It's probably not that complicated if you read in to it but I thought the activity was so incredibly boring that I never did. Ideally you'll just get it by playing the game but that's rarely how it works with Bungie. I still have no idea what the runes and augment actually do. Feels like there's been literally no difference in gameplay between the times I've used runes and the the times I havent. Also, agreed that the GG mode was way better than CoB. CoB is the most boring crap I've played in D2 - and D2 is not short of repetitive and eventually boring stuff.

              They need a few more notifications for some of the augments. For instance the one that gives a boss immunity shields if people are standing in the blight. A debuff marker that’s just the title of the augment might get blueberries to actually do it. Most are fine though. There are just a lot of really dumb/ignorant blueberries in the mode. The rest of your post is just not a thing

                  Nothing about court is complicated, especially since the game literally tells you how to play the game mode lol. Even then, you don’t even have to pay attention to the augments most of the time
