The exotic catalysts mission is so bad this time.
I have thousands of hours playing this game. I normally enjoy it. I am on the last catalyst for Barrow-Dyad. Thanks for changing to the hull as the launch area. I got toland and the ogre.
But you totally screwed over the hive symbol area. I have played for days and can not get there to do the puzzle. Flount if I remember right. This whole quest has just totally sucked. I have every exotic and catalyst from all the seasonal quests. I have ground them all out.
This is the worst season for the exotic weapon. You need to have real life players test before you launch. This is horrid.

If that’s true, it just very poorly communicated and means thousands upon thousands of pointless hours being wasted out there. I wasted quite a few.

I can deal with the RNG on which areas are active in any given run, but the few times that I've gotten the Founts as one of the areas, not once was the Hive Rune chest one of the active secrets.

Been trying to get the founts rune everyday since it dropped. Still nothing since I only get founts 1 out of 8 runs then the rng on the secret just hadn't hit yet. This is dumb

2 RepliesHave you checked to see whether you are worthy?? I was pretty sure I effed up the Founts rune, but I was still worthy when I checked. I did not get a knife from the Founts rune chest as I didn't realise I had to do both rune secrets... 100% did not drop as, by this point, I was checking drops. But as we now spawn in hull breach I thought I'd double check... and I was all good. The thing is, I had the quests completed and did the cabal barrier secret before I had any concept of what this catalyst involved... I did not notice any knife drops as I wasn't reviewing any drops; I just check my inventory. However, I must have got 3 already somehow... so definitely worth checking to avoid unnecessary steps!! It is a rubbish quest, and more focused towards players helping each other out I think, but even still this could have been made more accessible... either keep the rng and have dedicated steps and progress, or, keep it a secret and remove rng completely.
