[u]My opinion[/u]
We can have both systems. With bungie trying to implement weapons with multiple perks I feel we’re in a good direction, but some of the systems are holding it really back.
Here is what it should be.
1) Keep crafting for certain weapon for rng protection.
2) allow any weapon to be enhanceable even if you can’t craft it.
3) Doing harder content should reward you with weapons with extra perks and can be enhanceable as well.
This system keeps the players that want to have 3 perks in each column happy and players that just want to craft it happy as well.
The only thing I don't like is crafted exotic guns. Inventing weird quests to get exotic weapon perks outside of the exotic mission and stretching the time to get the catalyst by 4 times looks like banal bureaucracy or, in other words, work that shouldn't be in the game. The fragmentation of history, the artificial deceleration of game progress - did we deserve this? As Datto said - there are a lot of things you can do in the game, but unfortunately, not all of it makes sense.
