I am expecting Sony to cancel all D2 DLC , so Bungie can focus on Marathon
Marathon will be cheaper, no VAs,expensive set pieces, cutscenes ,destinations,strikes,Dungeons, raids just the same map and PvP tuning
Look how fast Sony pulled the plug on Concord, even after investing 400m into it
What if the reason Bungie has been radio silent on Apollo, is because Sony informed them it isn't a sure thing , maybe that's one reason it wasn't in State Of Play, and why we can't pre-order it yet

Only way Sony still supports destiny is if frontiers exceeds its projected sales by atleast 20%. If it misses like the final shape Sony is gonna be done with it.

Sony didn’t pay 4 billion for Bungie and it’s “future projects” at the time to just say ok we don’t want destiny anymore. If anything this could be how D3 gets started on.

They wanted bungie for their expertise in live service they don't need destiny and absolutely will let the ip die if its not profitable that's how business works if a product is bad and can't be fixed it gets shelved they won't do destiny 3 unless they feel it would be a big success

You don’t think Destiny wasn’t the reason they wanted Bungie? They wanted to buy it after the success of the witch queen DLC. Even Lightfall was a major success financially, that’s what made them worth 4 billion. Destiny isn’t going anywhere. Worst outcome is D2 is left like D1 while they make D3.

They wanted like 12 new live service games by 2026 so they got bungie thinking it would help them succeed that plan royally failed and they don't care about destiny they care about profit for Sony its simple if destiny can't make a good profit its not worth it anymore.
