That’s not Bungie’s fault. That’s how PlayStation’s online service works. On Xbox, that wouldn’t happen because base Destiny 2 is free-to-play, and Xbox has a policy that free games don’t require Xbox Live. If you should complain to anyone, complain to Sony.

Since there are other activities that would otherwise require ps+ and you can still do them like onslaught it should be allowed for everything required to proceed the story to be accessible for everyone. As I said since there are activities that you can play without ps+ then maybe it's Bungie that decides that.
