For the individual I'm pretty sure did it. I knew about his "friend"... I witnessed the progression of their relationship overtime. This person was using my friend. So, what I started doing/did was offer my friend an open invitation for help with me or my crew. I encouraged him to network more, meet new people... he found a crew of his own now he regularly grinds with. The person that wiped my friends account... well, more on that, I think probably used me or Sin, as justification for his actions. But the truth is, I'm not doing recovs... I don't accept money or compensation ever. "Pay if forward, no need to pay me". The person in question charged my friend... and I think they believe others and I are now getting those payments. I AM NOT! And should they see this, I want them to grapple with conscience of wiping a disabled players account. Here's the update... I've made some good progress helping my buddy out. 😇👍💠

So you’re claiming you posted a public thread to tell your friend who got ripped that you don’t do recovs. As opposed to just messaging him? And if wanted to let the person who did do the recov know you don’t get paid…why does he think you’re making money off Destiny to begin with? Also do you care what he thinks? He wiped a disabled persons account, you think posting this will shame him? Or that he cares what you think? Questionable logic, even from you. You obviously were doing something to give this violator the impression you were getting paid for something Destiny related. Why would anyone assume a random player is making money from the game otherwise? Maybe like claiming you’re a collaborator and asked-for-but-unofficial QA type… And given your penchant for dishonesty… I’m thinking you ran your mouth and a friend of yours got duped and you feel bad. So you had to say something publicly for your conscience and to make your friend feel like you’re a victim too. That sounds more reasonable.

I messaged him too. Don't worry, I'm doing everything I can to help him. I posted this, as the title indicates, as a cautionary tale. That recovery under any circumstances is ill-advised. That even if you think that a friend you had for 8 yrs, that knows you have a disability, would never act this way... people do. That selfish people are opportunistic and spiteful. Maybe you account share with your family, but outside of that... you should not give your information to anyone. That's what this topic is. Your projections and mischaracterizations are false. You think, as my agitator, this is a good 'opportunity' to bait me. I will never be more stalwart and unwavering than when it comes to issues impacting those I care about. 😇👍💠 He's not a victim; I didn't label him that way... he's my friend that made a mistake. It's still worth noting his condition because it informs the gravity of the betrayal despite his mistake.

A sentiment that would have been expressed without the ‘I’ part of the title. Simply regaling the tale of your not-a-victim friend is cautionary enough.
