Everyone complaining about this post probably already has their preferred drop and just don't want others to have there's in fear of losing the only thing they can brag about....people are so sad that they attrabute personal value to useless things like guns in video games....

Nah. It’s just that the community(not Bungie) has tested and confirmed weight gate was addressed. I trust that testing(not Bungie) as thats how they found out about it in the first place. Again. I’m not trusting Bungie word, but rather the community confirming what Bungie has said.
-
Edited by Pointynose: 4/1/2025 9:54:58 AMIt took the community a while to find it. The method of detection was a visual pattern in the way the perks were listed. Bungie fixed the pattern issue. It doesn’t mean that there isn’t weighting in a different form, e.g., an 80% likelihood of getting less desirable perks, etc. The community just hasn’t found it. Yet.
-
I’m not assuming it exists. I’m just saying it’s a possibility that it exists.
-
But you’re assuming it actually exists. As of right now I have no reason to believe it exists. This is an issue that’s rather isolated to people who talk about it on this forum. And doesn’t seem to be widespread.
-
I can see that...it's hard to trust once you're burned and it can feel rigged even when it's not....but it's also been showing even in small batches people seem to be getting one or two rolls on the regular and that's slim odds if weight is even...I have been farming the new void bow and have yet to find a single shiny but all the act one shiny guns drop regularly and very few act 2 shiny at all it feels off and I'm not the only one having the same issues...it might just be bad luck...or it might be rigged....only time will tell...it's just a shame that people weaponize good luck against ones with bad luck its pretty pathetic
but it's also been showing even in small batches people seem to be getting one or two rolls on the regular and that's slim odds if weight is even
This is why I don’t think it’s still an issue. It’s mainly small batches of people making these complaints. Mathematically speaking. With a big enough sample size you will have people who only get heads for example.
-
Mathematically speaking, the chances of getting heads, 100 times in a row is (1/2) to 100th power.
-
So it is A. Still possible B. Will reoccur with a large enough sample size over a long enough period of time. C. Will be distinctly Rembered even if it rarely happens. Bad rng in destiny is also far more likely to occur than landing 100 heads in a row.

There’s no such thing as good or bad RNG if it’s truly random. I really don’t believe destiny uses truly random RNG. I have multiple instances where I farm and farm for stuff and never get it. It took me 30+ attempts to get my final 2020 pinnacle drop. I believe there’s a flaw in their drop system.

This is also true....the opposite is very possible as well that one will get the perfect guns first try but they won't complain about creating a bad data set....it will take time to find a trending line for drops as long as someone is collecting the data anyway that's what makes it hard to resolve.....it took years to find the first bug but now there is precedent....so only time and accurate data will tell.. Worse case is it's only affecting some players not all....making it hard to prove either way...

I highly doubt anyone gives even the slightest care as to what someone else has as a roll for a weapon everyone can farm and who doesn't have what they want. If you're just going to cry about how other people are pointing out how it's just bad luck and the OP's delusions, then you should either stop crying about it openly or go get a helmet.

This proves my point thanks

Edited by Salty-47: 3/31/2025 9:57:28 PMAnd you proved mine of how fragile and emotional someone who can't handle being told the truth is. If you or someone else doesn't like that being told how it's just bad luck and not a bug, then please just go cry in the corner instead of doing in front of everyone.

The only truth is the fact this is a video game and it can't hurt you ...and you don't need a mask to hide your insecurities the community will help you if you need it just ask

You should also learn the difference between hurt feelings and facts. Your response to the other literally proves you and anyone else that thinks like you are just sitting there with hurt feelings and then crying when someone tells yo the truth. This isn't a support group, and it definitely doesn't need to be a safe space to affirm your delusions. Now go back to crying in the corner. Lurk more
-
Says the person who is purposely lurking on a post just to whine about other people stating facts just because you'd rather sit there and be delusional and think that the game is out to get you.
-
Says the guy who has to have the last word to feel important...we all lurk the posts is this your first time?
-
Edited by Pointynose: 4/1/2025 10:00:52 AMYou’re wasting your time with this person. All they do is sit in these posts and tell everybody that they’re wrong about something or crying. Go to many other posts in this forum and you you’ll see a few of them.

I do appreciate the heads up I've seen there other posts floating around...they just made a mistake posting to one of mine I am thoroughly enjoying playing my game....I like fishing and I caught a big one....
I do appreciate the heads up I've seen there other posts floating around...they just made a mistake posting to one of mine I am thoroughly enjoying playing my game....I like fishing and I caught a big one....
Such a great game. It's almost like the whiny b*tch who can't handle facts and then makes a post complaining about it should learn how to not cry in public. You didn't catch anything. Hell I doubt you've even been outside your parent's basement in 10 years with how fragile emotionally you are. Seems the only thing caught is the coward who needs to hide from facts because they don't affirm your safe space and delusions.

Edited by Salty-47: 4/1/2025 6:49:48 PM
*Taps clock*(Cry count 6)more repetitive dialogue it lacks engagement insults are a low bar that lacks impact bo better I'll wait....
That's some sh*t grammar just for you to whine more. Also, am I supposed to care that weak minded, fragile emotions child gets upset over what words get used to accurately describe you and what you're doing? How about you get back to me when you can think of an actual reason why pointing out the fact that bad luck doesn't equal a bug instead of just using your emotions and deflecting as your whole argument.
-
*Taps clock* No cry in this one either good good...insults are still unimaginative... your word choice is improving a little...the drops could still be bugging it's having an acceptable data set over time to show a trend is all...early data is showing repetitive drops which shouldn't happen if drop weights are Even ..time will tell it's to early for a definitive conclusion..but the common consensus is it's still rigged for now....

Only a small minority are still claiming there's an issue and have been making that claim since the perk problem was fixed. If only a small group is making the claim but doing nothing to prove it, then it's definitely not a thing. Repeat drops will also still happen no matter what. Just because something has a set percentage chance of a specific perk dropping doesn't mean that after you get it, the chance increases to get the other perks. That's not how it works, and it never will. Complaining just because you or anyone didn't get the roll they wanted in a rng game first try doesn't mean something is wrong. If you or any of the others in the small group complaining about it want to prove it, then go and actually do what happened last time and put in the work to prove. Don't just sit there and say, "Take my word for it, but I'll never provide proof," and expect everyone to just jump on board with it.
