Had a gm run where 3 of us got the same roll. Tell me the chances and then explain why that happened again later that week.

I see this happening on my own rolls basically on a daily basis. But people will come up with all kind of reasoning to defend this broken loot system.

That’s been a thing for years it’s not weightgate. Likely it’s something in the spaghetti code if the host has latency spike while the engrams are spawning. It might also explain why if you spam turn in engrams at the tower you get the same roll twice in a row more frequently than you should.

That's literally how games work friend
That's literally how bad games work friend
Fixed that for you, good games don't need that

Seeding is probably in every game you've ever played brainlet

Lmao. Yeah seeds are here. They’re RNG for most games. Anyone with compsci experience could tell you that. That Reddit post makes a lot of valid points that we can’t recreate true random. We can’t. But blaming seeds is like blaming RNG itself. Weightgate was a seed issue bc it was likely how the perk tables were interacting with the seeds - seeds pulling non-randomly. Repeat drops is much more likely a connection issue with the Host preventing seed incrementation or resets. Both deal with seeds but it means nothing that it does.

This caught my eye, so I looked into it. The chances of 3 people getting the same perk combination is .077% or 1 in 1296. For reference, this has similar odds to experiencing a 6.0 or higher earthquake in California. I have also seen posts of people continuously getting the same rolls over and over. When things deviate from normal probability, then it is usually flawed or manipulated.

Weighing is "fixed" into a rigged drop rate instead

Exactly. I’ve seen this happen multiple times. Even from years ago. People can believe what they want. I for one absolutely do not believe in RNG
