Cool. So the only way Void Warlocks can consistently stun Overload champions is by burning an exotic slot on trash armour Subclass balance should not depend on whether you’re willing to cripple your exotic slot just to handle one champion type. Every other subclass (with the exception of void hunter) gets to do this through their intrinsic kit—Void should too
-
He doesn't get it. Non feed the void devour is a hindrance on warlock. If you have feed the void, Secant is moot

Edited by Althanash: 3/30/2025 6:15:43 AMYou said there was only a singular option. You have alternatives. Whether you like them or not is immaterial to me. Secants weren't bad either. Still aren't. A Damage Buff, Devour Proc and overload rounds? I'd hardly say they're trash. Just underrated. But you could always use Le Monarque to fill in for a void weapon. Especially this Season. Here's a hot take though. No subclass should cover everything. An we have 2 that practically do. Stasis and Strand. Edit: I remember back when those boots were released. We had Unstop handcannon..........the boots let me run both Unstop on a HC and Overload.

Stasis hasn't dealt with barrier champs in over a year.
Stasis hasn't dealt with barrier champs in over a year.
They can be repeatedly frozen to circumvent their barrier mechanic.
-
No, no they cannot. They will barrier up through being frozen. It's why riptide cannot challenge all three champions anymore.
-
Is there a language barrier here? When I say circumvent I mean this. You freeze them and melt them. It's not that hard. You gotta freeze them and keep them frozen. If they pop that shield. You weren't quick enough.

Edited by DoC_McStuffins__: 3/31/2025 7:17:38 AMThey will come out of being frozen and put up a barrier shield. If you can kill one while being frozen, you 1. Could have killed them without stasis and 2. Are fighting champions on the easiest difficulty. Go load up the GM right now and give me video proof of you freezing a barrier champion over and over "circumventing his shield". Because you won't be able to. Or you could keep trying to blow smoke up people's bums. Here, I went ahead and added a link since I know you aren't going into gms. When you say circumvent, you mean "I got proven wrong so I'm doing Olympic level mental gymnastics to try and save face" Circumvent verb find a way around (an obstacle). "if you come to an obstruction in a road you can seek to circumvent it"
-
Goodness me. I did find a grumpy one. 1) I've done plenty of GMs you're welcome to search my name (since my forum and game name are the same and I ain't hiding nothin from nobody unlike plenty of others out here). 2) If you know exactly when a champion will throw up it's shield you can and will freeze it before it does. 3) A frozen champ takes more damage. 4) "They will come out of being frozen and put up a barrier shield." - So don't give them the chance. Pop another nade (especially if you're a coldsnap warlock). "Go load up the GM right now and give me video proof of you freezing a barrier champion over and over "circumventing his shield". Because you won't be able to." This screams of "I can't do it so you must be wrong".......ehhh why am I not surprised. I could make the video. But to satisfy some nobody's ego? You'll have to pay me first. There is a brief and easy to see stagger they do upon coming out of being frozen. You just have to reapply freezing them before that happens.
-
Edited by DoC_McStuffins__: 3/31/2025 10:07:18 PMThey are freeze immune after the first one. You cannot refreeze barrier champions for 5 seconds after. So, you're wrong. Frozen enemies shatter and that does damage. They are resistant to damage while they are frozen. This is stasis 101. (Hence why there's a fragment based around this entire notion) You said "you can freeze them over and over" and you can't. You're wrong. "I can't do something means you cant" my brother in christ I showed you literal proof that you can't LMAO You may compete gms but this is basic guardian stuff. I can safely say you're being carried. I might pay money to watch someone better than me; however, you are not.
-
"They are freeze immune after the first one." Now I know you're full of shite. You can freeze them again. The same can be done to overloads and unstoppables (although not wise to do on unstops it screws with the mechanic badly). "You may compete gms but this is basic guardian stuff. I can safely say you're being carried." An I can quite happily sit here and say you're out of your depth when using Stasis. "I might pay money to watch someone better than me; however, you are not." That's a big list of people for you to pay. All the way from down there.
-
Edited by DoC_McStuffins__: 3/31/2025 11:06:26 PMDid you even watch the video of the behemoth freeze one and then not able to do it again directly afterwards? Lmao. Yeah you get carried. There's no doubt about it. Unstoppable enemies can be frozen and sat on until their stagger cool down is up. It doesn't mess with their mechanics, talk about "out of your depth with stasis" LOL. you don't even know enemies take less damage while frozen without a specific fragment. Barriers cannot.
-
An I'm done with you. I've dealt with enough stupidity as it was over the weekend. Now I gotta add you to the list. Ah well easy goings Guardian.
