Playing full teams of hunters is just awful. I get warlocks maybe 1 in 10 matches if I’m lucky. They’re always invisible and so many of the higher skilled players run hunter, I’m constantly outclassed. Brutal. (Im aware it’s a skill issue, lol)

I do suck at PvP generally. Last I looked at destiny tracker, my rankings were between the bottom 10% and bottom 40% of players, depending on the format. But "get gud" is no way to fix PvP just not being fun because vast skill disparity. You don't encourage someone to try and get better at a sport by always making them play against people far better than they are. If you're the kind of basketball player that has only ever played pickup games with friends or other random people in your neighborhood, then going up against a team of college players, where your teammates vary from your skill range maybe up to a couple of guys that were HS varsity, that is simply not going to be enjoyable and you won't want to keep getting outclassed that badly. You'll find something else to do. And when those college players say, "Well, go do that then!" They sabotage themselves, because then, with fewer people playing the game, they wait longer to find a team to play against, and eventually give up themselves and go find something else to do. A successful PvP game would have to have a large enough pool of players at all skill levels for everyone to enjoy playing PvP. If it is only enjoyable for the top half of players, it will not be sustainable. But hey, this is primarily a PvE game anyway, right? I wouldn't care at all if the game didn't dangle rewards that are useful in PvE for at least trying PvP every so often. But since it does do that, having event and seasonal challenges based on PvP, unique weapons that can get rolls good for PvE that can only be found in Trials or Competitive, and so on, then it has to have some viability for me or else I will think that Bungie doesn't care about making the game fun for me.
