How often did you hear of invisibility complaints before Heresy? Almost never considering the only ways to do it then were:
Rat king (almost no one uses)
Trappers Ambush (melee ability)
Stylish Executioner (it's rare you'll kill a void debuffed player, and the melee is useless in pvp)
Or Vanishing Step, which is currently bugged and after a time, stops working.
Yet, invisibility didn't become such an issue until On The Prowl was released, adding a more frequent means of turning invisible as well as extending the duration by standing in the smoke ON TOP OF the rework to Radiant Dance Machines, which gives up to 3 dodges just for a primary kill, for I think 5-7 seconds of invisibility each, not including OTP.
If X didn't become a problem until Y was created and Z got a rework, it sounds to me like either Y or Z are the problem. Any direct nerf to invisibility, knowing Bungie's habit of nerfing X instead of the actual problems/ enablers, will affect a lot more than just it. And considering the worst super in the game revolves around invisibility, that would most likely get hit too.

On the Prowl nerf: In PVP, players would receive the "Well Fed" cooldown for 7.5 seconds upon reappearing.

1 ReplyBeen playing in comp and made it to ascendant. I can say that the game becomes very slow when vs 3 hunters. The whole time they non stop tried to go in use to get close enough to fusion or side arm. We had to back up everyone we heard the Invis go off and that worked and we won. It slowed the game down a lot and was not fun at all having to play around Invis non stop.

this forum and pvp player in general cryed about invis for a long time, the best solution is to nerf invis to 3/4 seconds inside pvp ez fix so baby players are happy

2 RepliesEdited by Killapete232: 3/27/2025 1:49:55 PMDo keep in mind for RDM to proc extra dodges players need to get an ads or hip fire precision kill, correct if I'm wrong, but also require a kill or two per dodge gained . Also players should try RDM with strand and stasis sub classes. Ensnaring slam combo with threaded specter is amazing, every mid air dive not only snares but drops a Spectre. Stasis with the aspect that slows when you dodge is super effective with RDM also. Side note I do agree with your sentiment on the whole hunter invisibility subject 🍻

4 RepliesIt's On the Prowl that's a problem. The other three aspscts are perfectly fine. The smoke nerf is a real bummer, though. If I had a different melee ability to use I'd be super happy.
