Agreed.
Precisely why I won't waste my time chasing any non-craftable or non-focusable.
Dungeon Legendaries are a joke.

Velocity Baton is still one of the best dungeon legendaries by a long shot, but you do you :)

I pulled it ages back. Dungeons are only worth farming if there's a cheese or the encounter itself is a joke. That's typically my gauge for farming. That said, Area Denials are arguably the most BORING archetype in the game. They exist almost exclusively as a Transcendence feeder, and if you've interacted with any of my past posts at all, you should know I think Prismatic is the single worst thing to happen to Destiny 2. So yeah....

Area denials are very good aside from transcendence
Area denials are very good aside from transcendence
I beg to differ. There's significantly better ad-clear &/or utility for the overwhelming majority of builds out there. Destabilizing+Baton is quality (assuming you have the roll), but the Energy Slot by far has the best weapons in the game. So that to say, even if you aren't running it, it doesn't matter given how many great Energies are available.

You're entitled to the worst opinion ever.

Prismatic has done irreparable damage to this franchise. The playercount reflects this. If you can provide any tangible, objective data concerning the matter, I'm all ears. The problem is, it doesn't exist. https://steamcharts.com/app/1085660

Game was literally in its deathbed before Bungie announced Prismatic. Then they announced it and everyone lost their -blam!-, it was awesome and still is.
Game was literally in its deathbed before Bungie announced Prismatic.
Not statistically true at all. Into the Light saw a massive uptick in playercount, as did the opening of TFS. The game was not at all time lows regarding player count though. So this idea it was "on its deathbed" is statistically false. TFS has supported the SINGLE WORST player retention statistically. Prismatic is one of the primary factors regarding this issue. There are other reasons for poor retention, but make no mistake, Prismatic shoulders significant blame in the matter.

Hahahahaha Prismatic is awesome in every way. How you could even fathom this outrageous conspiracy? Did you not get the class item you wanted? I would really love to know how, in your opinion it ruined the game.

Again, this isn't a singular issue but multi-faceted, one of those facets being Prismatic. The end result of Prismatic has been low Loot incentives and one dimensional buildcrafting. . I get what you are saying by allowing all things for all classes. Take Wormhusk for example. The Prismatic version gives you an incredibly small bump in health. The OG version is a much more substantial bump on use. That is the trade off. I believe we already have what you are striving for. More options. Prismatic is just another option, with plenty of smaller routes to explore.

Those posts were written before Heresy. Both of them. Heresy has increased playable variety, but it's artificial. The builds performing at a high level that aren't Prismatic, are almost exclusively doing so because of the Artifact. Ultimately we do need Prismatic to fully absorb every Ability & Aspect in the game within their respective Classes. However, given that we are approaching the one year anniversary of TFS with NOT ONE SINGLE ADDITION to Prismatic in regards to the aforementioned, I doubt it will happen. What better way to drive new Metas AND sell off TFS than by growing Prismatic each subsequent Episode? It's essentially free game design at that point. "Oh hey, this season we're giving Prismatic Titan Offensive Bulwark & Flechette Storm." Instantly pivots Buildcrafting.
