We need to make invis easier to see. Ever since the lighting changes implemented in Beyond Light, this has been an issue. Being off radar is strong enough.
Please make the invisible purple color more opaque.
Another reason to fix this:
I’m in my early twenties with good eyes and can’t see them sometimes, imagine what people who can’t see or older guardians feel. Y’all talked big game about accessibility when all of these people started cheating, for some reason, but won’t fix this kind of thing.
Edit:
For the people saying “OH WELL I CAN SEE IT”
I have yet to see one good player come in here with that reply. I haven’t checked all of them but still.

Really not hard to see unless there is a lot going on. Invis has been in the game basically unchanged for years and has never been a big point of contention til recently(because new aspect made it more prevalent) With that said I’m all for it being made way easier to see for those that find issue with the current state. I run void because of my ele cap pulse plus I really like the animation of the void dodge. Not much else going on for the class. Smoke is virtually useless now and the supers are mid at best

4 RepliesI kind of agree with this. Most people argue that invis is already easy to see... But if that's the case, then what is the harm in making it easier for those who DO struggle? I'm in favor of making invisible players SLIGHTLY easier to see, especially on maps like Altar where the glare makes them even more challenging to track. However, invisibility should keep all of its other functionality, such as radar manipulation and hiding player health and weapons.
-
5 RepliesMy crappy eyes see them just fine. Not on eternity though. But just because I can't see them on a specific map doesn't mean it needs to be adjusted, just means I have to be more aware.
-
Edited by Zodleon: 3/27/2025 2:32:27 AMImo I've got no problem seeing them, but I also think the primary benefit to invis is being off radar, so I personally wouldn't care if they made it not visually obscured. Though I think that problem is more of "you guys are idiots, they'll be looking for army guys" you're just not looking for a purple smokey dude most of the time so a lot of ppl overlook it.
-
I need glasses and can still see them without my glasses. Sounds like a skill issue or maybe your eyes are not as good as you think. They're pretty visible already.
-
5 RepliesEveryone is focusing on the wrong thing. It’s not that they should be less invisible. It’s that they should be in some way weaker when they are or just have been. Have them take 50% more damage from all sources when invis or for five seconds after coming out of invis. If you want to be an invisible gymnast you can, you just can’t be a tank at the same time!
-
2 RepliesNo crying about a barricade that literally gives you bolt charges and over shields? Healing rifts? Arc souls? You people are sheep and will cry about anything that kills you. Pretty comical
-
Wrong, they need to make invis hunter impossible to hit. Only logical.
-
Edited by Wargodmini: 3/26/2025 1:58:52 PMI have been killed a lot while cloaked, and I use it when I am damaged, hard to save yourself, when 3 opponents are shooting at you simultaneously. You also forget that you uncloak when you shoot.
-
13 RepliesSo what is the benefit of using a hunter again? Having a cool cloak? Guys the neutral game of titans and warlocks is crazy. You have crazy passive abilities (walls that give you overshields and rifts with the same effect) and now you ALSO have the movement that used to require an exotic chest. Not to mention the stat distribution. So what else? A button and everyone on the map is dead?

It's the only way to stop people from complaining about them anytime they have something decent.

3 RepliesInvisibility is one of the worst things to add to a competitive shooter. They just had to nerf invisibility in THE FINALS because it's complete cheese that really shouldn't be in the game. Because dont you love fighting an opponent that you can barely see, if at all? Sooooooo fair and fun that the invisible opponent almost always gets the first shot on you because they're nearly invisible.
-
3 RepliesAt this point remove invisibility and have dodge give an overshield. Increase the cool down to match titan barricade or something of that nature. 15 second overshield would be so much worse...
-
If only void hunter didn't have one gimmick alone I would agree. But unless bungie gives another way to build void hunter, a slight change should be needed

I’m 47 and have no problem seeing and taking down invis guys

4 RepliesI'm 23, a mother of two kids and a retired scrim enjoyer, i play hunter with every subclass. Invis is a common use for me, but only in trials on certain maps. I can definitely tell you invis is not hard to see even in darker maps, when you can definitely hear the invis proc from the other hunter or myself. Players often start searching like a swat team. If you look for discoloration in the surrounding area that is purple each time you hear the invis being procced it's definitely not hard to find.
its not hard.
Color blind here. Imagine seeing through someone’s eyes who are colorblind…or should I say not seeing it?
-
I main solar hunter and I am mid40s. Rare chance I could see invis, but not enough to land crits, or even land hits. Fact is I main slug and I don’t think I’ve ever slugged an invis. Even when I could see, reaction time is affected by “wait is that an invis “, so I lose most fun fights. Even in some kids games invis is a luxury that you need to pay $ for. In this game invis is so free lol. Also a lot of “remove hunters” posts- are they sure they are not targeting invis ? Hunters are hunters, invis are rats there is a difference imo
We need to make invis easier to see. Ever since the lighting changes implemented in Beyond Light
100% agree lighting change made them hard to see then in witch queen they made them purple, all the invis nerf are pointless when the visuals are the issues

1 ReplyIf u can't beat them... join them.

3 RepliesI have no issues seeing an invis Hunter and im colorblind

1 ReplyEdited by ArcaneSword: 3/25/2025 7:25:00 PMYeah they really gotta do something about it. It's by far the most obnoxious subclass in the game and rdms only makes it worse. Suggestions: -shooting an invis player should break their invis. -perhaps make it always on radar in pvp? It's annoying not being able to prepare for someone. -make it more seeable maybe? -maybe completely disable their radar while they are invis Like the subclass is already good in pve, it really doesnt need to be busted in pvp. And Im not saying all those suggestions should happen, at least 1 or 2 of those things tho would make it a lot more bearable.

2 RepliesHere's the problem - Invisibility is the Hunters' shtick. It's literally all they do, it's their 'class identity'. And invisibility that you can see, isn't invisibility, so making it less so effectively destroys their one gimmick. In order to change it, they'd have to make Hunters do more, and given that they haven't had the will (or the skill) to do that in a decade, they're sure not going to do it now.

2 Replies“I’m never able to see them, but they instant see me when I’m the one invisible.” Guess what? I’m down 5 in myopia. So yeah wholeheartedly agree: invisibility in PvP should be more of a radar thing than a sight competition. That said, PvP is competitive, I can’t hate the player and don’t want to hate on the game, so I will not ask for the game to be tuned towards one or another category of people. I just stay away now that my visual sense is impeding me to compete. What’s worse imho, is the PvE side: If I’m invisible, how come all the enemies watch me in the eyes and simply wait for the moment I appear to throw all their attacks at me? The whole point of being invisible is to surprise enemies, and it should be more of a thing in PvE than PvP. An invisible player coming at me straight in the face should be recognizable by anyone within 30m, while I should turn into a ghost in PvE when I go invisible. At least that’s my take.

I guess if you main hunter, seeing an invis hunter isn't as much of a problem to me. BUT since Titans are the punchy class and definitely complained hunters were taking their identity in that, I am having a hard time seeing how a hunter is suppose to "get in close" and not have a way to get there without being rocked, and before anyone says you're faster I got news for ya, short of head bopping, a Titan and warlock can out run a 100 mobility amplified hunter... Really though, I dont care what they do to it in PvP, its to bad the changes still hit my PvE in some way even though bungie swears tbey dont

This would be a fine change Presuming first that they completely rework nightstalker so it isnt solely reliant on invisibility. To my knowledge it is currently the only subclass where every single aspect ties in to one keyword. Every balance change made to invis has to contend with the fact that if invis is bad in pvp, an entire subclass is left unusable. This is the core issue with nightstalker. On the prowl was their opportunity to fix it. But instead they give us yet another aspect that both focuses on and requires invisibility. Its in need if a major overhaul. In the entirety of destinys history, there has never been a subclass so one note as 3.0 nightstalker.
