Fusions are terrible if in the wrong hands. Being able to pre charge around corners takes practice with the timing. If fusions were easy to use, everyone would use them. They’re so easily baited by good players too. I have a hard time using them against top players. The only people they’re good against are monkey brain titans that run in a straight line towards you

Edited by s: 3/22/2025 10:04:48 AMzealots reward having 19.20 meters of range on a rapid fire frame is broken. there is 0 skill involved with that weapon. there is no arguing it. closing time needs to get nuked on special weapons.

That would probably hurt pellets the worst

Guess what? I can hear you go invisible you opposing Hunter. I can hear you constantly recharging your fusion rifle every time you slide. I can tell when you wanna bait me over a corner and sometimes I make mistakes due to over confidence. When the fusions are slapping me I strap a precision shot gun and guess what? I start shutting down them fusions with a Claws of the wolf and a chaperone.. they change their approach towards me. It’s difficult at first to have 3 loadouts for every situation you may encounter but my strategy is run the meta. And have two loadouts in your inventory to counter different metas. Sometimes you win, sometimes the other players are just better than you. -
Nah son, throw glacier base and shoot that thing with fighting lion, or just bankshot them with fighting lion, gets them mad every time

To use a fusion against top players you have to force them to end up in situation that makes your fusion impossible to counter. Basically not charging it in front of a player that has a cover right next to him. Or waitîg for them to be engaged in a fight already. But youd be surprised how many top players try to challenge you with their primary while your fusion is charging at its optimal range tough. As for "fusions are easy to use or not" Depends on the fusion type. Zaelot is really easy because you can use it like a shotgun. But when you go with high impact you have to think more about what you are doing because of charge times. And aiming wise they are prob the easiest special weapon to use. No criit requiered and aim assist is hella high.

With over shields, heal nades, air dashes, behemoth slides. Once you're use to the charge time, which is shorter than the optimal ttk of most primaries in the game, it's hardly even a factor anymore. Sure the initial practices, you should be use to that within the first couple games of a session. If that.

Edited by Coal: 3/21/2025 8:58:18 PMRapid fires are the only ones that I’d say are too good atm. Mainly because of lone wolf closing time. Otherwise, ive tried using fusions against good players and I’m not very successful, since they play smarter and don’t tend to overextend. Fusions are good for punishing people who push hard with no cover to quickly get behind. At the end of the day, there are way more shotguns than fusions in crucible, leading me to believe shotguns are still superior.

Shotguns are simply stronger than their direct counter in the game? Lol
