The faster shooting ones just have no downside. The range difference from Zealots to Glacioclasm, for example, is pitiful at the cost of nearly 2x the charge time. I think Precisions and High Impacts are more or less fair given you can react to the audio cues but Adaptives and Rapid Fires are just uncounterable.
I think D1’s projectile fusions were way more balanced and had a higher amount of skill expression, but I know many people will dislike the idea that fusions would then have much crazier theoretical range even if most players would not be able to consistently hit them.

But I agree with everything you have said here. High Impacts shoot too far as well, but the cues are better.
