Giant mechs are amazing! I don't care if I'm in a support role or driving!

Giant mechs are pretty cool, this is true... Pretty sure it's dudes who love them more than women on average, though.
-
Ok. So I'm weird. I'm okay with that. A "chick" who loves machines and tools and cars and trucks and trains and, and, and....well, you get the idea.
-
Nothing wrong with that. Tomboys and Janegirls are totally swell! Break the mold, don't conform to gender stereotypes! Y'know, unless you want to. That's cool too. Just, er, if you were to pilot a giant robot with the intention of using it to pick up girls, that probably wouldn't work out too well. :p Tbh, if you had a giant robot irl, it would probably just scare people, both men and women. And probably get you in trouble with the government.
-
Lol. Honestly, I want to work on it and fix it, not drive it. Someone else can do that. I think owning a giant robot irl would get someone in a lot of trouble with a lot of people as well as the government! Neighbours, roads department, parking lot owners, air traffic control (if it flies), probably emergency services and the military for all the "the aliens are invading" calls, etc. It would be a lot of fun, though!

Oh, well, unfortunately working on the mech isn't an option as far as this hypothetical RP is concerned. But hey, the mech is also owned by some big fancy corporation, meaning you don't need to deal with all that annoyance from the neighbors, road department, parking lot owners, air traffic control, emergency services, or the military! :D
-
So true. "Big companies" can deal with all that kind of stuff. Bleh. In your RP, in a possible future interaction depending where things go, you could have a mechanic (mechanic sounds so lame when talking about giant robots,) the person/ group deals with. Suitably eccentric of course! That kind of position as a player would be limiting and mundane.
-
That could be a fun idea, though, for such a giant machine there probably wouldn't be just a single mechanic. There'd probably be a whole team of them. Still, this team almost certainly had someone in charge who could make for a fun character.
