Out the gate - this is not some cringe suggestion that we replace those on strike or step on the toes of VA’s fight with their agreements. This is just requesting better ways of accommodating the situation than what we got in Act 1.
This season is supposed to have a banging story brewing. Unfortunately, I’m completely lost. I didn’t think I would have had an issue as I regularly watch subtitled cinema and read for entertainment. But with the way Bungie has delivered this narrative - I’m completely lost. I’m planning on finding a YT video to go over the story so far - but that’s a horrible way to get the narrative for a video game or any other form of this content.
Biggest Issues IMO:
- Seasonal story dialogue just randomly happens while in orbit and other spaces of the game that usually doesn’t have story dialogue.
- Dialogue during combat is hard to follow.
- Half of the dialogue is delivered with no indication on who is speaking (usually the ghost icon in the top right will state who is speaking)
- There’s no way to re-cap, rewind, or replay dialogue that is missed.
I’m understanding of the situation and even commend Bungie for standing with workers - but I feel we can do a better job and I think if the devs seriously reflect on the situation, they’d agree.

Nah episode is done for, they shipped it half baked and STILL ask for money in eververse. The irony of their strike because they don't wanna get replaced by AI yet AI would have prevented this whole situation in the first place which is just peak comedy, they are not helping their cause

They shouldn't have launched Heresy until that could be done in a finished state. They could have recycled an old event (wouldn't be that first time) to retain players while the strike is on.

1 ReplyThere is a setting in subtitles for "show speakers name" btw.

Stop praising corporations making moves that only serve to protect themselves and their bottom line under the veneer of "protecting the little guy." They don't care about those people.

1 ReplyYou can turn on who is speaking in the settings. Gameplay - Subtitles - Show speaker name

1 ReplyThere is a story this season? Eris architected her way into a throne world and she’s going to kick Xivu’s -blam!-. End of story.
