Yup. Sadly there's Lack of resources, time and manpower on the current roadmap. There was a time when we were hoping for a third Darkness subclass post Final Shape episodes, which is now a pipe dream. Even getting new Stasis and Strand supers seems far out 😶 Maybe they'll just start creating standalone darkness abilities in each slot, like a Taken or Nightmare grenade or Resonance utility abilities for each class. Because boy are Taken and Resonance powers being carrot dangled in front of us this season.

  • I agree that this is what they should do. There are plenty of powers we’ve supposedly had according to the artefact so they expand on the various extra powers we could have. I’d love a splicer melee that scrambles enemies like Gemini jesters or creates a decoy with a grenade etc. However, blight is a damage type already in the game with witherhoard etc so would be easiest to implement.

Etheric Light abilities would be amazing. As far as Blight, although the particle effects and behaviors are definitely there, sadly, Blight is coded and treated as Arc damage. BUT, this honestly isn't an issue, because Resonance is treated as Solar. I would be completely okay with Resonance subclasses doing Solar damage and Blight being Arc. Why? Because Arc, Solar, and Void exist in neutral states, and Tormentors and Nezarec use an emotion and pain influenced variation of Void called Paroxysm. I just want the sick particle effects and new supers based on them. I guess even this is too much work due to the layoffs and reduced budget. 😶

  • Oh wow. Is that true? That’s pretty interesting - didn’t know that!
