And everyone sees it.
All ability cooldowns are longer. Okay. What did that do?
It made the area control abilities that naturally have faster cooldowns even more annoying.
It's total spam out there for barricades with bolt charge and rifts with those void children.
And the abilities (and special ammo I guess) needed to flush them out have been nerfed.
It's a balancing act Bungie, and this is not it.
I will never understand the constant complaining. It is fine. If you see a barricade. Team shot it. If you see a rift, walk away. If the child of the old god is in the open, shoot it. Save your grenade for the defensive ability.

Team shot the barricade? With primaries that do less damage to shields and the arc bolt can make them dang near 1 shot you? Outright one shot you with a few weapons? Not the best idea dude. Especially if there's more than one person behind it. That's nothing more than an excellent way to get yourself killed by any halfway competent player.

"arc bolt one shot" Only if you stand still. Simply keep moving. That's it, that is the counter to arc bolt. If you are the type of person that dies to arc bolt, you're the type of person that dies to Jotunn, don't be that type of person.

Edited by Wes: 2/22/2025 3:17:49 PMOnly if you stand still? Really? People get the bolt charge and can proceed to activate it with other abilities. Tripmines do so much damage even if you do move it may kill you. Same with fusion and magnetic grenades. Grapple melee launch you, but not fast enough to dodge the bolt so you get hit anyways and die. OHK with the artifact perk. Statis grenades hinder your movement. Duskfield may not result in a OHK, but the shatter from coldsnap 100% will. With the right builds, normal melee turn into OHK. Freeze turrets are deployed? Smoke bombs? Child of the Old Gods? Warlock Freeze melee? There's so many ways to hinder movement that facing bolt charge just isn't worth the risk, meaning the best solution to play your life is to not challenge at all. Example, you're fighting a Titan. You have a massive health advantage, so you stand your ground. He taps his melee and releases and *uncharged* thunderclap. Guess what? *You die.* I was flying through the air in Trials shooting down a weak Titan and the thunderclap and bolt charge connected. Just "move away" does notn*consistently* work. And anyone can have it at any time from a barricade, so that's easier said than done.
