Isn't it enough that these ostentatious egotists can display a "Flawless" title on their character?
I know there are genuinely exceptional PvP players and teams out there who deserve respect and recognition , but over the years, they have lost their credibilty because of cheats and paid carries.
And if someone wants to play the game dressed like a neon drag queen, there is an abundance of lurid shaders that they can slap on their trials armour.
I do agree though that there has to be some incentive for going flawless.
Maybe an exclusive weapon skin or an extra trait would suffice, but has it got to be something to say, "hey, look at me?"
And I repeat, NOT ALL flawless players are cheats or have been carried, and respect to the genuinely good players who deserve recognition.
P.S. I went to the lighthouse playing solo for the first time in my Destiny life during the weekend, and got some great weapons and nice armour, but I don't want any credit for it.
It was fun and rewarding, and I hope more players will be participating over the coming weeks.

Yes they need more "hey look at me!" stuff, looks is a big part of the game. D1 had an armor set you could only get by going flawless, D2 could have the same thing with ornaments. I don't really understand how that's an issue, cosmetics are fun and non game breaking, and they will be easy to implement new ones season over season.

Yes, a flawless armour set would be a good reward 👍

Edited by Zodleon: 2/18/2025 8:23:57 AMI'm not big on the vanity, I understand it's the ultimate end goal of trials, it always has been. But I have a problem with the ppl who will pay for those carries and then still wear the flawless emblem like they did something. And my problem with that is they are doing it to feel that "respect and vanity", unlike a adept gun, it serves no functional purpose, that players who do go flawless supposedly feel. I feel they are cheating themselves of the actual experience of doing it. My point in this is the loss in credibility isn't so much for those who can do it, but the constant question of did they pay for it. Like ye old bought forgotten. I feel this qualifies as a "yo Socrates its a ****ing cookie moment" but at the same time there seem to be so many ppl obsessed with the achievement that it's a bit more than just a place in a game for some ppl.
