Hey there, for redeemed emblems, ownership is determined by your Bungie Account. Burnt Edges was a 2021 emblem, but looking at your profile, it was made in 2023. I am guessing you redeemed the emblem straight away and used it, rather than waited two years.
That makes me think something like the following happened when you were setting things up for cross-save.
You had Steam linked to Bungie Account A (an old one) and also PSN, linked to newer Bungie Account B, the one you are now posting on, made in 2023, the year you cross-saved?
(Steam and PSN could be the other way around in all parts of this, this is just an example)
Instead of linking PSN to your Steam's Bungie Account A, you were logged into Bungie Account B via PSN and linked Steam to that instead. That detached Steam from its original, older Bungie Account. Now it was attached to a newer, blank Bungie Account, that caused it to lose that emblem and all other code-redeemed emblems too, as well as Bungie digital rewards.
Cross-saving in itself can't cause the emblems to be lost, you can set up or deactivate it, but all the accounts are all linked to the same Bungie Account and get their emblems from there. But I suspect it was the linking step before that is the cause, swapping your old Bungie Account for a new one.
If you no longer have a way to log into that old Bungie Account (sounds like there may be an XBox account still linked to it..?), then unfortunately it has been 'orphaned' and is inaccessible, everything on it is now lost. If you can log into it, things might be different.

Edited by Scrot: 2/19/2025 2:21:58 AMYou are right, I did link it backwards because I thought it would be reversable. I linked my B (xbox) account to my A(steam) account instead of vise versa. My steam account had all my emblems and Ive been playing on it since 2019. Everywhere I see online says when I deactivate the cross save I should still have the A(steam) account seperate. Does it delete it? Does it make it inaccessible? Is it a seperate bungie account I can log into? When I log in through steam on here it takes me to this account. Does that mean I'm screwed and theyre gone? Because as far as I can tell from other forums and posts (and reddit) once I reverse it from cross save I should have my emblems back on my steam.

Edited by EckyThump: 2/19/2025 2:42:53 AMIt sounds like what you are reading is just talking about the platform accounts, so 'Steam', 'XBox Live', etc, but the only thing that is relevant here is the 'Bungie Account' that your platform accounts are linked to. You've joined two platform accounts under the younger, blank Bungie Account, and completely broken the link to the older, emblem-containing account. Trust me, changing your cross-save settings won't do anything. Whether Steam is acive, XBox is active, or cross-save is inactive, both platform accounts will see the same emblems, the emblems on the current Bungie Account. Your platform accounts don't remember their old Bungie Accounts, they can get split away from them, and if they ever find themselves without one, they create a totally new blank one. That's why I am saying that your old Bungie Account with the emblems has been orphaned, it has no accounts linked to it, and therefore no way to log into it. With no way to log into it, there's no way to link anything to it, and that's why I'm saying the contents are basically lost.

Thank you very much.

Edited by Scrot: 2/19/2025 2:34:13 AMI just checked my eververse history and I have history reporting back to 2019 but my account was supposedly made in 2023. How does that work?????? So, I can revert to the xbox account but since I saved the xbox account over my steam account it wiped it?

Eververse history is part of your Steam platform account not your linked Bungie Account. You've lost the Bungie Account containing the emblems, it doesn't matter which platform account you make Active in cross-save, it is the new and empty Bungie Account they are both attached to that is the source of (or rather, lack of) those emblems.
