On the prowl is incredibly strong in 3’s gamemodes, and amplifies the strong map control it already possesses to arguably broken heights.
It blocks rez’s, is up permanently until you or the target dies and has pretty decent abilities regen and team support.
It just needs a timer in PvP and it’ll probably be fine. 7-10 seconds)

Edited by Pazsy: 2/17/2025 3:50:33 AMAlso one last thing before you throw your phone and huff and puff and be all tough, wouldn’t my suggestion be a massive nerf to PvP??? Especially against 3 stacks? What are you even complaining about??? Do you even know?
-
See, you can’t help yourself🤣
-
It seems, neither can you. Do you enjoy my company this much? Do you yearn for me as I yearn for you my love? My muse?
-
4 in a row with no reply, that ego is something else. Watch you’ll do it again.
-
You mean like how you just did it an hour after I finished? My ego knows no bounds as you know no women
-
Edited by Pazsy: 2/17/2025 12:06:59 AMPvP Aspect = worthless I couldn’t care less about that game mode. Besides, ALL PvP abilities get nerfed into mediocrity or uselessness (Juggernaut, Specral Blades, Storms Edge). So I’d rather they rework it to be something more tuned for PvE.
-
Buff it all they want in PvE, but in PvP it’s quite busted atm.
-
“Busted” Something could provide the most minimal buff ever and you guys call it busted. No man, smoke covering a rez for like 5 seconds is not “busted” unless you wanna say the same thing about head stone.
-
You’re so ignorant. You haven’t even played a single game of PvP yet your high horse BS is gonna try and speak on something you know nothing about. How embarrassing.
-
Edited by Pazsy: 2/17/2025 2:27:42 AMIt’s no secret that I hate PvP and its playerbase but genuinely what the hell is it offering that’s “busted”??? Team invisibility? Omnioculus. That’s been in the game for years. I don’t wanna hear it. It’s literally infinite so don’t be talking about “uptime” No rez for like 5 seconds? Cmon dude, that’s not an issue. Weakening? Withering gaze is on primaries and has shown to not be an issue in the slightest. 15% more damage isn’t meaningfully changing TTKs like radiant is. What. What is broken about it? Is it that it punishes holding your teammates hands? Isn’t that a good thing? What would you like the aspect to do? Nothing? I don’t and will never understand the PvP player base. You guys hate everything new even if it ISN’T new. I understand the hate for storms keep because making primary weapons a one shot for your whole fireteam is pretty ridiculous, but the benefit to On The Prowl is so minimal that I can’t even begin to get at what you’re complaining about.

You get marked for your life. Any teammate of theirs can kill you for the effect. It lasts 7 seconds, and is refreshed on another target the moment they enter it. 7 seconds in comp or trials is a lot longer then it seems. It creates x3 the amount of radar manipulation since your teamates can use the smoke, and has no cooldown or duration limitation. Now stack two or three of them on a team and it becomes nearly impossible to dictate radar properly, play together or peak without risking screwing your team over. This is on top of the already obnoxious void hunter kit. But again, you don’t have any idea how it plays in PvP. Taking things as verbatim without any experience facing it is hilarious.
-
Also I just wanna say. That in 3v3 the smoke is so unbelievably useless. How often are you eliminating someone and then rushing to their rez within 7 seconds to go invis? Especially in trials? Almost never. 7/10 times people are grouped up and the only time you’re getting that Rez down is if they rotate to try and approach you differently. Which by that time the smoke is LONNNNNNG gone. Another time that’s happening is if you try and rush which at that point you already know where they are. Them going invis for half a second before shooting you again is changing nothing. Just because I haven’t touched PvP this season because I’m just over it doesn’t mean I’ve never played before dude.
-
Smoke is really useful in threes.
-
Hey how about instead of spewing nonsense, you go experience it yourself then come back to me. Taking you seriously is about the closest thing to insanity I’ve come to this week. Almost got me.
-
Edited by Pazsy: 2/17/2025 3:17:38 AMRun out of easily dismantled arguments I see. Well maybe instead of crying and whinging and moaning and spewing snot out your nose the second you get killed in PvP, maybe actually I don’t know try adapting for once in your life?
-
“Try adapting” no truer words from the PvP master. “Easy dismantled arguments” You mean the one from someone that doesn’t know what they’re talking about? Get back to me when you gave it champ. Enjoy your bots in PvE
-
I mean, I do know what I’m talking about but whatever. Keep -blam!- about a fart that does virtually nothing outside of 6v6.
-
Omg you’re a 1.1. Yes I’ll be taking your word verbatim from now on, my apologies sir🤣🤣🤣🤣
-
What’s the matter? Upset you don’t have any friends to do raids with?
-
Me and my friends are playing PvP. That supposed to be a “gotcha” moment? I honestly can’t believe you’re a 1.1 trying to speak on anything PvP related. Thanks for giving me something to remember and make fun of for the next few days.
-
Guys guys! Everyone look! This guy is so embarrassing get this he’s… slightly above average! WHAT A LOSER! Is THAT your gotcha? Keep fuming about a fart cloud that is functionally useless, I’m gonna be y’know enjoying the video game meant for fun.
-
Point is you don’t have enough skill or experience to properly understand how useful it it
-
I do, but whatever. It’s gonna see a rework because people are getting vocal about how worthless it is in PvE. I also don’t see it getting any kind of nerf in PvP, it’s just not powerful enough. It’s doing what it needs to and requires you to move over to the body to take advantage and a majority of people play long range in 3v3. It’s not an issue.
-
Judging by what you are saying, I doubt it. Might not immediately benefit you but it benefits your team by just dropping the smoke cloud and zoning off an area. Played a couple triple void hunter teams in comp and it is tough to play against. At any point one of your teammates are usually marked. I was playing with my ascendant friend so this was ascendant lobbies. Players are generally skilled enough to turn a kill into a team wipe, the smoke cloud makes that easier.
-
I just don’t see how it’s that big of an issue at all. Seriously, this isn’t like shatterdive it’s just requiring you to not stand 2 feet next to your teammates y’all are so overreacting.
