I'd like to remain optimistic and see if they achieve the intended results and how long that lasts. I think the population will increase for a time, but the people that never made the effort to improve won't suddenly feel compelled to. The loot might be incentive enough to stick it out some though. I wish they chose to sweeten the pot more for getting 7 flawless wins, but the extra loot will be nice as you chase specific rolls.

Yeah, I think I feel mostly the same. At least bungie has acknowledged that trials is on life support... This change is only gonna bring player count up short term, and I think the fact that actually going flawless is mostly meaningless now is gonna hurt the playlist in the long run. I think if they keep this change permanently, it may be the final nail in the coffin for the gamemode As a side note, I actually really like them attaching the glows to certain win streaks. I'm a big fan of having some cosmetic stuff purely for flexing ability.

I think there's needs to be a greater loot incentive to go for the 7 flawless games. The loot is nice, but the cosmetics are limited to what we have already been receiving, even if they are earnable by streak now. I think there needs to be more than the adept weapon and extra drops to put yourself through it, but if the playlist sees new blood for a time, that's good.
