Conceptually this could be a neat concept. Got that nice risk/reward to it. In a single player game, it could be fun, too.
In a multiplayer game, though, execution could only go wrong. Having one of these dudes on your team could be fine, but the second you have a second one, no thank you.
Either the Healer would have to be given crazy high HPS to compensate, trivializing any dungeon where these guys aren’t there, or their HPS would be too low and you’d have to rely on the DPS to know when to stop.
Most likely, the DPS would not know when to stop, die, and then blame the Healer.
You don't really think the DPS would accept the accountability for their own death-by-lava, do you?
I mean....it's always the Healer's fault when someone dies...even if they're being silly.

From my experience, the DPS always blames someone else (usually the Healer), the Healer always blames themselves, and the Tank is just there to pat the Healer on the back and say “Everything’s going to be okay.”. :p
