If the system accepts the characters and then doesn't work, it's not a problem of rules but of how things are done.

Incorrect. It’s a problem of the user not following the rules for what to (and not to) use in their name.

incorrect. a check must be set on the name field to avoid the use of characters not allowed by the rules. otherwise it makes no sense. also, can you give me the link to this rule? thanks.

You are incorrect. There is a check to make sure the name doesn’t contain profanity/offensive language, but not for the types of letters/characters used. I don’t have the link but you can search name change on Bungie app/website to pull up the policy.

And you don’t have to share my opinion. But the policy is the policy…which clearly states that invalid characters in your name can cause the issues you are having.
