I'm still talking about this game, btw, just a way to emphasize what I've wanted from PvP in this game from the beginning. Choice, they launched with 12 more heroes than in Overwatch 1. The power fantasy matches player expectations, this game... will never be a "gun game"... PvE and PvP tuning persistently at odds and in conflict. Why? It doesn't need to be. We love the buttery smooth shooting mechanics... That's the cones system. That's a game where HCs and Snipers have the most aim assist. This is a hero shooter with much more flexibility. It should embrace ability spam... but to your point TTKs need to be higher. There needs to be an effective counter system. Imagine a Titan, that times a bastion shield perfectly... as the shotgun is fired. A Hunter that evades the pellets with invincibility frames as they dodge. A Warlock that halves the dmg by deflecting half of it back onto their attacker when they pop their rift. Shouldn't the game play more like that?
