Here's the thing: you have to be an absolute sweat to make Warlock work. When one can it really dominates. That's one issue. A Warlock player either really shines or falls flat on their face, there is no In-between. Bungie needs to bridge the gap.
Another issue? Let me tell you about Controverse Hold and Handheld Supernova. This exotic, paired with this OHK ability, was an absolute menace in the Crucible. I don't remember how long it was around but EVERYONE lost their marbles about it. Despite having obvious counters to it. The biggest complaints you'll find when it comes to PvP is those who play Hunter almost exclusively. They have an obvious movement edge in PvP and they hate it when things challenge this.
Another reason that Bungie remains silent here is that they would prefer Warlocks to be PvE-focused. "At least you have that" people say, despite Titans having an edge in both PvP [i]and[/i] PvE.
TL;DR: Warlocks could be better but Bungie keeps our robes nailed to the floor

I said what I said. It is of my opinion, having played Destiny and Destiny 2, that Warlocks have been downgraded over time.

In PvP I think the thing is prismatic is just so incredibly overtuned, Pris Titan is just so busted and Pris warlock too. Pris Hunter to a lesser extent. If these options were brought back in line, we could start to undo the damage bungie did to their own game. Void warlock a bit cheesy but is appropriately cheesy while not being busted. Solar warlock is just built different Arc warlock is just Pris warlock but not busted

So we get pissy when warlock or titan get Shiney new broken things against us. I think the system is kinda like rock paper scissors. Hunter is paper Titan is rock Warlock is scissors But skill and build crafting and battlefield awareness depend on how it really comes out You want to be good in pvp. Go to private match and start timing things how fast you can get to certain points. How to bounce witherhord to certain spots. What all angles can attack certain spots. At what point can you jump to certain areas. Start recording or taking note of gameplay and review it how did you die. Where do the enemies typically come from. What tactics do the best. You like a certain guardians loadout use guardian report to take their build they have. Dim button to litterly steal their build.
