So
[spoiler] the expansion team was fully laid off, the seasonal teams now take over basically doing the same job they always did, by that I mean next year had 2 planned episodes & they're now being called 'mini dlcs' because they think changing names fools people. These will be very small, one is something to do with the fallens planet, we go there, & the other is going to oryxs throne world or home world, sorry I forget the exact details. There's 2 seasons for the year, seasonal event & loot etc but no cutscenes or story. There's a raid & dungeon, smaller in scale than usual.

i expected DLC's around the same size as shadowkeep tbf

Because that's what they told you to expect. Full studio did SK, you expect a much smaller team to give 2 Shadow keeps in 1 year? For the same price with a much smaller playerbase. The only time we got 2 planets in 1 year was forsaken, when a full studio plus 2 Activision studios & a 1 year delay. 2 planets also wouldn't fit on the director & would send thre game over 200g. They aren't called expansions anymore either, they're called content packs, why change the name of they're expansion sized. I expect 2 episode sized dlcs because that's what was already planned internally, 2 episodes to become 2 mini dlcs.

Fundament is what it’s called and I agree with it being small scale dlcs. I won’t be buying, only bought the base doc for FS. Whatever story they tell will be little more than fanfiction. They couldn’t even explain the Dark and Light or the Gardener/Winnower in the finale, I have zero hope they’ll make any quality storyline.
